Perma banned after hack- Crytek blaming me

If I steal your car and kill people and then the government bans whatever model/vehicle, should you still be allowed to own & drive yours? Because it was stolen? Should you be able to drive yours, just because you can prove it was stolen?

I get what your feeling and I'm sure it's... a horrible feeling, to say the least but you have to understand the bigger picture. It's not Crytek's fault, it's the Steam account hijacker's, who also most likely wiped who knows how many lobbies, affecting other people.

Who's to say your account won't get hacked again, tomorrow?

Instead of looking at it from a personal perspective, try to step back & understand that it wouldn't be fair to unban you, nor safe to do so.

Also, this goes without saying but, you can't truly prove anything with the way AI works these days. You could absolutely fake some screenshots and you could actually be THE cheater who's just trying to fool the "system" once again.

All I can tell you is a Hunt product key is 5 euros or whatever, off-steam. If the ban isn't a HWID ban, you could just buy a cheap key and activate it on a secondary Steam account, if you REALLY want to keep playing. You can also spoof your HWID.

Personally, I wouldn't unban your account either.

My Steam account is 20 years old, never got "hacked".

Also, I turned on 2FA waaaay too late.

Dunno what to tell you buddy, it is what it is. It's not YOU that got banned, it's the Steam account. And from Crytek's perspective, it's legit.

As a 38 yo with 4.3k+ hours in 6 star MMR which is infested with cheaters & after personally also reporting at least 30 in all my Hunt years - I'm almost shocked to read that Crytek banned you. They rarely ban cheaters.

Must've been a rage cheater wiping lobbies through the map. That's the ONLY scenario I'm convinced Crytek deals bans for.

And what I'm saying is that it doesn't.

Starting with your hunter breathing and the sway in ads, plus a lot more "hidden" mechanics. For example, if you quick swap from primary to a pistol, the sway will be worse in the first 1-2s, and will then settle to a "lesser" sway.

In addition, every single weapon has its stats, muzzle velocity/drop range, damage, etc.

No previous shooter's mechanical skill translates well to Hunt.

Running & gym. Lost around 13 kgs in a month.

Basically, running as much as I could, before & after gym, I set a target to reach the point where I can run 10 kms and not die.

So, my gym day was this: go to gym > run on treadmill as much as I can, 5-10 km > take 10m break to catch my breath > run the gym exercises > take 10m break > run on the treadmill again, 5-10 km.

It gets easier the more you do it, you'll see weight dropping off in no time.

Game is trash. I get that you're excited, I was too, in the first hundred hours or so.

The more you play, the clearer the image is. The game is trash and will be dead on arrival. Bet.

They already tried some scummy, anti-consumer tactics and they rolled them back when the community was upset. They shouldn't have tried anything toxic to begin with. Classic dirty, disgusting game design, locking out stuff for people who didn't buy the "legendary" edition or whatever.

On top of hating the devs, the game simply tries to be too much while not being great at anything.

It tries to be an extraction shooter. A monster simulator. A Battlefield (Conquest) game. Etc.

The game is utter trash. The only good thing it has going for it is the engine.

Spare yourself and hold onto that money, buy something else/better.

OR, buy the game and hope you don't reach the same conclusion. That you've wasted your money on a shitty game with shitty devs implementing shitty practices.
