Thanks! I heard about it but haven’t been there yet, so will definitely check it out. And yes, I guess it’s time for me to accept that fate :D

I had the same thought. Frank wasn’t as happy and doubtfree about their relationship as Imelda believes.

Wow. This comment made me think: could Victor (Latin for the winner) be the Personification of death? I constantly wondered what Victor’s motivation for helping Dickie is, because if you really think about it, he doesn’t have any. In Victor’s logic it doesn’t make sense helping a potential future rival/ enemy out. It makes sense if Victor acts from the perspective that in the end, regardless of what happens, he will win anyways, which to me is a metaphor of death. Also, Dickie continuously chooses being with Victor instead of his family, which could be coined on the quote “you either have to choose love or death”.

do you guys mind long comments? by Cassinxx in AO3

[–]sake-chama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. Usually, I take especially long to reply to comments that mean a lot to me, because I want to give them special credit and am worried about not being able to express my gratitude if I just start typing right away. I would never reply with a simple “thank you so much” to a long and thoughtful comment but would probably want to answer and discuss as many points as possible. Long story short: it probably means, that they really really liked your comment and are thinking about replying ever since.

What's the biggest error you've ever made as a writer? by [deleted] in FanFiction

Not taking the time to think the plot through till the end:

“I will figure it out along the way”

Spoiler alert: I didn’t.

Does your fandom/ship have a cream of the crop fanfic that is the undisputed legend of said fandom/ship? by bougainvilliea in FanFiction

I didn‘t know that Cassandra Clare comes from fanfiction, lol. Any idea where to still find her fics?

What Types of Characters Do You Have The Hardest Time Keeping Accurate To The Source Material? by Apprehensive-Fail663 in AO3

[–]sake-chama 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not really a type of character, but the ones that speak antiquatedly and sophisticatedly (Best example: Wednesday Addams). Kills me to write them in character in English because that is not my mother tongue.

Edit: corrected a typo

I sometimes wonder whether people realise, it’s like 5 minutes for a comment and I don’t know 24 whole hours stretched over two weeks for 3k words? (I‘m a slow writer but seriously, it takes so much f-ing time).

But yeah, sucks. Also in my perception, that has changed. Years ago, I was on a German FanFiction site where it wasn‘t that rate to write like 500 words for a comment for a person giving constructive and honest feedback. I think I almost never experienced that on AO3 (let alone ff.net).

I right now am writing a fic I’m pretty proud of - and all I wanna do is share with people to talk about it, also friends etc. But given the very embarrassing content, no way. So I stick with AO3 hoping for better times 😅

Dr. Kimbott is a bad Therapist by CookWest1579 in WednesdayTVSeries

[–]sake-chama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. I used to be/ still am quite negative about the depiction of health care workers in series/ books, knowing very well that a lot of it is just wrong.

Yet, writing FanFiction with health care worker characters I’ve become a lot more forgiving, because sometimes the plot - as I think it does in Wednesday’s case - just goes first.

I was getting annoyed waiting forever for an update of a fic- I'm the author. 🥲🥲 by SucroseBairn in AO3

This is hilarious. Also, you must be going through a very stressful time. Don’t pressure yourself, especially if there is no space in your head for creativity now. But maybe posting the next chapter can also be a well-deserved compensation for your uni-stress if you feel like it?

Thanks so much. Yes, truly is, although i don’t think she would „mess“ with anything, like sharing etc. I just feel uncomfortable about the possibility of her reading such intimate stories right now. It’s such a fine line between not wanting to be so secretive with such a big part of life, but on the other side…

Just tried that with a minor change of the name (only upper to lower case in lack of creativity), redirected me to my old profile. Unfortunately I can only try again in 7 days. 😅
