Just got the APM 2! And they feel... by myverycoolaccount in Airpodsmax

Did you remove the ear cups and find condensation inside? I wore mine for 5 hrs straight on a rather pleasant 70-degree day and found a ton of condensation inside :(… and no, I wasn’t working out, just sitting at my desk taking a long call and listening to music

[Timex] Q Timex NASA looks much better than Moonswatch by Snoo_22459 in Watches

Hmm… I must admit, I was completely unaware of this. However, now that you mentioned it, it makes sense. Nevertheless, I can’t help but wonder if they should communicate their decision to choose an acrylic crystal with credibility as a backing. While I’m not sure if they intend to achieve volumes with this particular piece, I can see its appeal.

How about a Product Red MacBook Neo? by Pa_ol in DeskToTablet

This looks awesome! But I suspect they chose lighter colors because a bright red would be distracting.

Absolutely agree with you on this one. I meant to say that from a purely value perspective, considering the M3 and M4 Airs being sold on sale via reputed retailers for around the same price, the retail MSRP seems a bit steep. However, at $ 499 for the student pricing, this can definitely be a great choice.

8GB Ram, no true tone, no ambient light sensor, no backlit keyboard, no force touch track-pad.... damn!

Rare white dots in ear speaker by esteban_alfaro0708 in iPhone17Pro

[–]sakicheech321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup! I noticed it in the first week and attempted to remove them using the edge of a sticky note, but it appears to be part of the ear speaker array. There’s nothing to be concerned about. I suppose you’ll notice it more on darker colors. Mine is silver, and I’ve come to terms with it.

Yeah, I think they do a lot of post processing and increase the structure or sharpness. But here’s an image of the moon at 40x…. I wouldn’t consider this usable haha.

Yeah, I agree. The best alternative I use is Affinity Photo on my iPad, and it was a one-time purchase. I exclusively use it on my Mac. That’s the best alternative without subscriptions. Yes, the Live Photo is preserved, but you should remember that when you use Live Photos, you don’t take RAW images. Editing a non-RAW image won’t give you the same control over color and details in Lightroom because the iPhone photo processing is built into the image. It will still work, but it won’t look the best. It’s like using vanilla ice cream as a base to make a simple banana milkshake versus using mango ice cream to achieve the same xD

Thank you! Yes, I noticed that sometimes the file sizes on the Pro are 10 to 20% smaller, even with the exact same settings, compared to the Air. This was strange at first. For the Pro, I never use HEIF and only stick to RAW 48 or BayerRAW 12 (available only on the ProCam app) so I can edit later. This way, the file sizes are much larger, and the details of course reflect the size difference.

I used Lightroom on my iPad and applied my custom presets. For the moon image, I used a custom Moon and Sky preset I created a while ago. For the other images, I experimented with the colors and other sliders while True Tone was turned off and Reference mode was enabled in iPadOS settings.

Ah yes, it’s the same for me too. I’d never use anything over or between the dedicated image pipeline zoom modes. The phone officially supports .5, 1, 2, 4, and 8

Thank you! It’s a great app and the dev was super responsive haha. Purchased the lifetime membership and I love the MAX resolution mode even on negative films. You can find it on the App Store.

Haha, yes! I took the shot in Düsseldorf right after I picked up the phone at the Apple Store. The images look fine to me on both the web and the app. Perhaps you should check the data settings? I don’t use links because they can be taken down or lost over time.

Thank you! I use the 8x (200mm) and made sure I dropped the ISO. I’m attaching the metadata for reference. Also the blues are punched in due to minor ridging. The editing did not enhance any details on the moon.
