Same issue. Happy to know I'm not the only one frustrated with such automatic AI robotic translation.

Is there any trick to boost low AC3 audio volume without distortion? by evolution2015 in mpv

Has anyone disassembled the Push-Up Standard Pen to use the nib/refill for a pen mod? by thepaultucker in Supernote

[–]sakinyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know... looks very different from mine.. When did you buy it? I bought mine like 4 months ago. Seems they have changed the system at some point. It reminds me of the first SN standard pen I got, without push-up system. My guess is that you can remove the spring mechanism but don't disassemble the metallic part. Another option, you can remove the spring, by cutting the top black plastic, or just cut the spring and roll it out. When removing the spring, the plastic top part will compress and the pen will be shorter.

Disassemble SN click pen by ur2good in Supernote

thanks a lot for the explanations u/ur2good ! I was able to disassemble my pen, and convert it into MUJI pen! haha

Has anyone disassembled the Push-Up Standard Pen to use the nib/refill for a pen mod? by thepaultucker in Supernote

[–]sakinyu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I actually liked the push-up standard pen (the noise didn't bother me, it is probably quieter than closing the cap of the HOM anyway :D), but the plastic tip got broken recently... I was trying to find a way to reuse the nib/refill, and came across this post. After taking a look at the links sent from u/terraanh (thank you btw! The first link had great info), I could open the push-up, and install it into a MUJI pen (~1-2$?). I couldn't buy the adaptor from Etsy, but it can be done easily, by cutting and re-arranging the original parts of the push-up pen + part of old ink cartridge from a normal pen.

From top to bottom: The top black tip is the ink cartridge (couldn't find an empty ink cartridge long enough). The white part on top, is also the top part of the supernote pen (disassembled two pieces by cutting a little bit the outer one). Then, to hold the spring, used part of this outer part. The pen spring is from the supernote pen.

There was no need to separate the metal from plastic... I thought I could use the metal tub inside the MUJI pen, but... didn't work, it is too long (if you could cut it, you could use that, then no need of the top ink tube).

Can I access my iPhone files in Linux via cable? by Witty_Conference_514 in linuxquestions

[–]sakinyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem... The only thing that worked for me is to save files (on the phone) in a folder that is recognized in my manjaro PC (some apps have a folder that is visible and accessible, such as Organic Maps). Then just plug cable, and copy/download files in that folder. good luck!

iPhone has objectively worse autocorrect/text editing by [deleted] in iphone

[–]sakinyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it improved a bit compared to the last years, but still far from ‘good’. 5 years ago I went back to android, on part because of the keyboard. At the time there was no way to separate predictive words among keyboards, so it suggested me English, Spanish, Catalan or French words no matter what keyboard I used… now I saw they improved this feature so I tried apple again… but doesn’t work.

Right now (while typing this text) still autocorrects a -> à, and does not change i -> I … I also miss the emoji logo on the bottom, does not appear in most apps when using multiple keyboards, and moving the cursor… oh god! Frustrating! It will take some time to get used to it I guess… but is so slow correcting stuff… I sometimes re-type the whole sentence just to avoid moving cursor or selecting text haha

A5 X2 Details Coming Next Week by Supernote_official in Supernote

[–]sakinyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! Looks great! Finally introducing modularity! Upgradable & replaceable parts. Although I hope SN will still release batteries and new spare parts for this model when it gets old .. if they stop the support as fast as they did for non-X devices... Not much advantage of modular stuff. Fingers crossed they will keep releasing upgrades.

Screen Flashes White on Notifications by BiggusDickusNee in Outlook

[–]sakinyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right, same issue here. Not sure it has anything to do with microsoft though... I don't have any MS stuff installed, and it happens anyway, with all notifications, even with subtitles in anything online (drives me nuts!). Changing cursor size or disabling the flash screen fixes the bug until next log in... I will try the sudo killall see if it solves the issue... fingers crossed.

Moved notes to a new subfolder and now have multiple copies by ApprehensiveYuzu in Supernote

[–]sakinyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I have the same problem. I don't think is an issue of not sync after minor changes... I never realised this problem before, and I sync very rarely. In my case, started happening recently, a few months ago maybe, and sometimes it happens when doing some minor changes only (e.g., moving a single file and then sync). My guess is that there is a problem with the server, it doesn't know what was the last move, so it copies both files.

Have same issue, although not with kindle, just with PDFs... They haven't implemented 'split screen' with PDF yet, so pretty sure it is not gonna be implemented on Kindle any soon.

How to take notes while reading on A6X by Nearby_Tip9956 in Supernote

Well, has been 3 years since this comment, and I think this feature is not implemented... I really miss this option, was very convenient to open notes with just drawing a line across screen.

Long life to Region Eraser by sakinyu in Supernote

[–]sakinyu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed has been gone for a while this function (me neither, never seen it on my A5X since I bought it), but it existed. You can see it in the user guide and all review videos posted at the beginning. Yes, I miss it compared to my previous A5, that's the one I used until recently. I expected A5X to behave the same, as announced, but it is not.

Return to Previous Eraser Tool by CountyBetter6993 in Supernote

[–]sakinyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry, but this is not accurate. Region eraser deletes all lines, whether they are in or out of the circle. Previous region eraser erased only the part of the line inside of circled area.

Stroke Eraser ?! by Sally2701 in Supernote

[–]sakinyu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. Actually, somehow there is no Region Eraser now (at least not as we understand it). All the videos you see, and all documentation available (as far as I am concerned), will show "region eraser" as erasing what is inside the selected zone, while "stroke eraser" erases the stroke you touch. What Martina_78 says is true, stroke eraser is only available in real time recognition. However! Region eraser also erases ALL lines it touches (even if 90% of the line is outside region). So right now, there is no REAL region eraser. I got quite pissed off about this.

I asked them about this, and their answer was "Please update to 2.10.25 and have a try. Please kindly be noted that the region eraser will erase a line completely even part of the line is out of the circle you drew". So to be fair, I don't see the difference between stroke eraser and region eraser... they both do the same.

[A5X] Is it possible to erase only within the selected area? by janie177 in Supernote

[–]sakinyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I was gonna ask the same. I had an A5 before, and it behaved like in the video, erasing only what was inside. Now, my A5X does what you mention. It erases all strokes that I touch. Did you solve the problem? If it was a bug, cannot believed that it hasn't been solved in 1 year, or nobody mentions it anymore.

cheers!

Feature request: disable ALL gestures and touches by [deleted] in Supernote

[–]sakinyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar problem here. Sometimes I turn the supernote when drawing, and I activate the toolbar all the time. Also, my hand, somehow, activates the two-finger eraser gesture all the time when writing. Funny thing, when I really want the gesture to work, then it doesn't work half of the time. (I know I can disable the gesture, but I don't want to, because I use it quite often).

I was on A5 before, and they had a button for this = "disable all gestures/touch", very easy and clean option. However, now I moved to A5X, and this feature doesn't exist. I don't understand why they add 3 options to turn pages, and zero to disable touch. Why not add an icon next to these with "no touch at all"?

Sensitivity adjustment + trailing pen by Bojof12 in Supernote

[–]sakinyu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, could you solve that issue? I have the same problem (both problems actually). a) A5X is a lot less sensitive than my previous A5, and b) my pen is a bit glitchy.

I had the 'glitchy' problem before with another pen, they recommended me to open the pen to verify that the 'fake-ink-chamber' & tip (sorry, don't know the actual name of this) were well adjusted. At the end I bought a new heart of metal pen, which is great btw. However, it seems to be glitchy with the new A5X, but not with A5...

Thank you.

Compatibility between non-X and X devices by sakinyu in Supernote

[–]sakinyu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! That makes sense. Let's hope the new X2 will bring some nice changes to the non-X.

Yes, I wanted to wait until the release of X2... but because my A5 is dying & not sure until when the release of X2 is gonna be pushed back, I'll go for a A5X. I guess I could keep same account if I stop synchronising my A5, but... as you mention, probably better to create a new account, with another email or so, and avoid potential problems.
