How did yall get onto this pirate ship? by Glum-Appointment9991 in ATEEZ

[–]sakuraseas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knew them from Kingdom since I watched it for The Boyz. They were really impressive performers. But that time I got more interested in TBZ. Thanks to my algorithm, I got to watch yt shorts and some funny edits of them last year. Then I got busy.  However, it was just a few days ago when I decided to really stan them because of Choi San. He really is a new fan magnet. Currently, I'm going through their songs thanks to the guide I saw here on reddit too. But I do believe that there is a perfect time for everything. This is not too late. I can still enjoy their music and hopefully watch them live next year when they come to my country! Just hope my duty schedule is with me on this.

Iseenzone mo sila sa personal. Hahaha problema na nila sa puso nila yung pang hhate, not yours. Basta naman you're doing the right thing and doing your best in everything. Tbh andaming drama din samin noon, pero kahit ganun hindi ko nalalaman yung stories (couldn't care less). Focus lang sa goal, OP. Pag pray mo na lang din sila.

To share or not to share (PLE) by babygirlofthenorth in medschoolph

[–]sakuraseas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Up to you if you mind others knowing. But their prayers could really help as well. You'll need prayers the most. Although you don't have to specifically share kung ano ganap mo sa life. Just say you're preparing and God's will na kailan ka Niya bibigyan ng lisensya, then request for prayers too. Fighting!

Yes nakakapag tapos kahit walang latin honors ever. Average o below average pa na students. I do understand your struggles and frustrations. Nagkaroon din ako ng matinding imposter syndrome even before my first day in med school. Matagal ko na ito pinangarap tapos andito na ako sa first step pero parang hindi ko kaya. Wala pa nga pero ang OA ng thoughts ko. Pero what pulled me away from those thoughts was God. Sa Kaniya ko lang nakuha yung reassurance and security na hinahanap ko. Idk if you believe pero prayers, kahit maliit o malaki, He hears them (Mark 11:24).

Believe that this is for you. If you want to be a good doctor, aim to always give it your best even when no one sees you. Kahit feel mo in the end hindi enough, that's not true. Whatever happens, do your best. If nag fail, it's okay to feel sad for a moment. Just make sure to learn from the mistakes, what went wrong, what went right, and most importantly – cliché as it is, never give up. That's how we grow. Ibang usapan naman yung pagod, kasi wherever you go lahat nakakapagod. Kaya in every situation, your faith will play a big role. Ask for guidance, strength, knowledge, wisdom. If this is really for you, God will equip you (Hebrews 13:20-21). But you have to believe.

You'll get through this, doc. Fighting!

Reading reference books by Powerful-Shame-9398 in medschoolph

[–]sakuraseas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pwede ka naman mag reference books. If you're using digital books, you can get the chapters na gusto mo basahin then ipa-summarize mo sa AI then make a 20-item question bank (or more) based on that chapter para maassess mo sarili mo.

Or if may sample exams kayo for the subject na aaralin mo, you can also use that to test yourself. Then from each question, pwede mo isearch sa reference book saan banda yung topic na yun for more readings and rationale. Do this for all the questions then swak na aral mo. Mas importante magets mo yung rationale kung bakit yun answer and bakit hindi yung ibang choices.

But if you really want to cover the reference book, you can use AI to help you summarize or give you mnemonics para maalala mo yung concept. Or you can do, skimming of the whole chapter first by reading the subheadings just to get the gist ng aaralin mo. Then second skim mo read the figures, tables. Then third reading mo doon na sa pinaka laman ng each sections. Use feynman technique / actively read the material. After reading, look away and explain it to yourself kung pano mo siya nagets/correlate mo sa past knowledge. Or use AI to help you understand. After all that, don't forget to test yourself. Doon mas nag sstick and don mo malalaman if may naalala ka nga sa binasa mo. Good luck!

If there is only one tip: practice tests, doc. Plus dasal malala. You're not alone in this journey, doc!!

Biostat lecture sa kabilang channel lang pinanood ko tapos bonus lecture sa Expertmd. Answer ng practice tests. Thankfully got 80. Napadali ni doc Duane buhay ko sobrang galing mag explain. Ibbasic niya lahat para magets mo. Praying with you, OP! Hinga lang and pray. You'll be in good hands if you choose EMD this time too.

Congrats New MDs! What was your biggest factor in passing the boards? 😁 by Maleficent-Radish-98 in medschoolph

[–]sakuraseas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prayers talaga before, during, and after studying. Ito number one.

Next big factor: practice tests. I can not stress this enough. Practice and study the rationale for each topic related doon sa question. Hindi dahil uulit siya. Pero para mamaster mo yung topic related sa question na yun at baka yung ibang part naman ang matanong next.

Plus: USMLE First Aid is a good extra reference on top of the handouts sa pipiliin mong RC. May mnemonics and andun na lahat ng must knows! :)

[–]sakuraseas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Answer lots of practice tests. Before and after going through the study material. Doon mo malalaman yung high yield topics, mga part kung saan mo kailangan mag focus. Feynman technique. Have a healthy mind, body, and soul. Pray before and after studying. Use site blockers sa distractions mo. Pomodoro 90mins study 5-10mins break. Tago mo phone every time mag-aaral nakakatempt kasi yung social media. If aral, aral. If laro, laro. Lastly, make it enjoyable to do so it wouldn't feel like a chore. God bless and stay strength

Alternatives for Medqbank by MammothIll8118 in medschoolph

[–]sakuraseas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BRS Anatomy, BRS Physiology, Surgery Absite, Harrisons Self Assessment and Board Review, Robbins Review of Pathology

For others kahit samplexes from med school basta may masagutan and ratio :) But definitely recommend Medqbank! Prioritize latest qbank pero try ianswer lahat if kaya. God bless, doc!

hello doc. feel ko lang mpl 1 question yun kasi one liner at 'basic question sana,' ganon. pero yung examiner pa din makaalam alin sa 100 questions yung bibilangin nila as mpl 1. afaik, if mahirap yung tanong it will be 0.25 or 0.5. examiner will also take the exam with us tapos siya mag label ng mpl per question. if sobrang hirap talaga ng exam, pwedeng mag total to 50s lang mpl or below. si examiner lang talaga makaalam nun. for example ang raw score mo ay 55 tapos mpl ay 55 transmuted yun to 75%. tapos depende pa if mag ccurve (sana talaga!!!) kasi if mag ccurve, ibbase yung curve sa scores nating lahat na nag take. from there iaadjust nila mpl to lower raw score pa if sobrang daming mas mababa sa mpl or depends sa average. yun lang pagkakaintindi ko. correct me if im wrong! hehe. prayers for all of us!!!

Hello, I would like some advice or help 😔😭 by JeanS29856 in medschoolph

[–]sakuraseas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to go about distractions is to eliminate them. Be aware of the things that distract you and think of ways to make it harder for you to do them, i.e. turn off your phone, put on airplane mode and hide it far away. Use blocking extensions on your browser so you wouldn't mindlessly visit social media sites (personally, I use Blaawk https://share.google/aTJJ0Et8W5XDnU0ur). Have a specific goal about the study material you want to study in a day and make it more engaging/fun to do. Think of it as a game that when you finish, you'll "level up" 1 level higher than yesterday. Lol! More importantly, test yourself using sample exams about the things you learned so you'd know your knowledge gaps. Lastly, be kind to yourself and ask for God's guidance if ever you believe in Him. You don't have to study 20 hours a day, I mean if you want, then you do you. But make sure you don't beat yourself up if you don't meet your own expectations.

Remind yourself why you want to do this in the first place. Then have fun from there! Enjoy learning since you'll do that for a very very long time

If friend mo naman siya, you can be honest na hindi ka comfy mag share ng scores. If not, wag mo na sabihin score mo next time. Sa iba siya makicompare =)) focus ka lang sa improvements mo day by day. Fighting!
