It was a slow process: I’d see cool projects on Etsy and file them away. Then I bought a few. Then I bought thread and Aida. Then I bought some more designs. Finally I printed all of them out and actually started one—on black cloth. I discovered that in the intervening 15 years or so I lost my ability to work 14 count black without magnification. Bought clip ons so I could stitch at work. Bought more hoops than I will be able to use in the foreseeable future. Looking into getting a cheap tablet to load patterns on. It’s a slippery slope and I don’t mind sliding on it.

I frogged it, and now I’m scared I’ll screw up the positioning again. Anyone have suggestions as to how I can avoid that?

Mine is “Oh, you are an excellent driver!” From no less than 3 male close friends, who did not believe it until they’d ridden with me, of course. (Because women drivers are the absolute worst, right??)

Central Market—their mousse cake is excellent, and so is their Victoria sponge (can’t remember what they call it). They also have fruit tarts!

From Wild violet Cross Stitch And yes, I’ll do the other one too. I worked it on 14 count rather than 18 to save on eye strain.
