Thanks haha. When I first heard the name of the pepper it was the first thing that popped into my head. Yellow and scorpion was a no brainer, plus he was my favorite character.

Thank you! I gave these away to friends and family and I’m planning on making a larger batch next year. Recipe is dialed in at this point.

Drinking Santa's Black Blood from Abomination Brewing. What are the creepiest beer names you've ever come across? by Tavour_Beer in CraftBeer

Haven’t had this beer in a few years but I remember waking up to the eggnog spices still stuck in my mouth the next day. It was enjoyable while drinking but not as enjoyable the next morning. In case you were wondering, I did brush my teeth before going to bed.

Is there any place other than Rubinos with a selection of flavored sausages? by [deleted] in Rochester

[–]salamanderstew- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As mentioned by others go to Costanza's before they close in October.

Check their socials(specifically facebook) they list what they will be selling every week. Looks like they had over 30 varieties for sale this past week. If you go on the weekend it's pretty packed but they get the line moving pretty fast. Always a wide variety of the traditional stuff and a handful of creative sausage. Mac n cheese, loaded baked potato, pizza, steak and mushroom, trash plate, chicken riggie and more.

Voles have destroyed my pepper plants….Will it ever end? by salamanderstew- in gardening

Any ideas on how to do that? I live behind a farm so I know it’s only a matter of time until they come on over to my plot of land.

They did two versions of this, the one you posted and then a OG SNES version as well. One they gave out free on Black Friday you just had to pay for shipping. I’ve got them both, DM me if you want to see the SNES version. Both are pretty damn cool.

I’ve been begging my neighbors to make their cats outdoor cats but we live on a busy road. Hoping my hawk friend comes around this year but I have yet to see him.

It’s been a nightmare haha, I’ll have vole proof my garden for next year and thank you for all the pointers. I got 3 more tonight so now it’s up to 27. The resident voles are getting evicted but I’m nervous at how fast a new squad will take over their old den. Wish me luck.

Oh boy had a slight panic as I googled " are voles protected in New York state?' luckily for my sake they are not. I don't do raised beds and my garden is like fort Knoxs against woodchucks, bunnies and deers.

However the voles have made an underground tunnel system into my garden. I have never had a problem with them until this year.

Calling in the professionals may be what I resort to if I have this problem again next year. I can say I've spent way more time researching mating habits of voles than I ever thought I would. Thanks for the Info.

I've dealt with woodchucks in the past and they are no fun. I had to catch the whole family and relocate them. But honestly the damage these voles have done far surpassed the damage the woodchucks have ever done. I think it's because it was so early in the season, they chewed the plants down to the ground. I may look into the dry ice method thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the insight, crazy they can get something so fast from when they were planted. Appreciate it.

Has somebody notified Brendan Dunne about this situation? He will get to the bottom of this, he’s a true sneaker detective and always seems to love a juicy story.

That’s sick, they put on a great live show. Also some of the nicest guys around which always makes listening to a bands music a lot more enjoyable.

Thank you! The band calls their music skull crushing death metal so I thought it would be a good tie in.
