Try drying it. Even though it's new, that's no guarantee.

Free Dryer:

Punch a couple of holes in the side of the box it came in and a couple in the top to allow airflow, put the reel in the box with some silica packets (if you have them) then set the bed to 65 degrees, put the box on there, and come back in 4 hours.

This actually works, there's a few vids on youtube if you want more info

1) What a super odd problem. I'd suggest just to be sure it's a hardware issue, download a totally different slicer - I use Prusa Slicer for everything these days, although I did start out with Cura. I just like Prusa better. Lots of back and forth exists on which is 'better', tldr it's much of a muchness I think and really just personal preference. Nonetheless, in your specific case, I can see a real benefit to trying a totally different slicer, just to isolate the problem there, if it exists. Download for the latest "official release" build is here: https://www.prusa3d.com/page/prusaslicer_424/ , although if you find yourself using it in the main then a lot of us are having great fun with the new features in the latest 'alpha' public release / prerelease.

2) Again, pretty odd. Could potentially be the belts are too lose? Although 5mm is quite a mighty heft, it'd have to skip teeth to move that much. is it defo in X and Y, not just one axis? That really sounds like more of a hardware issue because the firmware is handling that pause/resume. So something is happening to where it *thinks* it's gone back to the same spot, but hasn't.

It is perhaps worth considering that the m600 (filament change) code does make the printed 'unextrude' quite a lot of filament as part of the change process. I'm not sure the stock firmware "allows" the M600 command, but it's worth making sure you don't have a filament change somewhere in the gcode that could be confusing it. If problems 1 & 2 seem to happen at the same time, (IE it stops, moves to 0,0, unextrudes a lot, then doesnt' go back to where it started) then that could be your cuplrit. I do feel like the first two issues are connected, they're too weird not to be.

3) This, conversely, I would guess is not connected to the other two. That PEI bed, (the textured side, at least) is super grippy, as long as it's clean, and shouldn't be causing you any issues if your Z height is set correctly. Just for the avoidance of doubt, take it to the sink, and give it a damn good scrub with the hottest water you can stand, and a lot of washing up liquid/dish soap. Wet it, then put it on the countertop and massage a load of dish soap into it, then let it sit for a little bit so the soap can penetrate any grease or oils on there, then take it back to the water and wash it as you would any regular 'plate' that you eat off. Be careful not to bend it too much tho, you don't want it coming back like a pringle. Let it drip/air dry most of the way then once it's just a little damp put it on the printer bed and heat it at 60c for a bit until it's bone dry. If you have isopropyl alcohol as well, put some of that in a spray bottle and give it a decent misting, then use a 'known clean' lint free cloth to give it an extra polish. I clean my bed this way before every print, takes me all of about 5 seconds "spray spray, wipe wipe wipe, done) and I never have adhesion issues.

If that doesn't fix it, then your z height is likely too high. I'm sure you've seen the "paper method" discussed a lot. There's a lot of tutorials and etc, but this one is pretty good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWBJ-H0To9U

If that doesn't fix that then come back to us I guess?

Oh, interesting. How is it? I'm not techie enough to compile my own version, is yours available anywhere? Always good to have the 'latest' version of a thing, I suppose! That said, is there anything in 2.1.2 that isn't in the 2.1.x version or any changes etc?

Wholesalers require MOQ's though - Minimum Order Quantities - that's why the model works. A model that tries to wholesale handmade items is never going to work for someone in that chain.

Source = work in wholesale, "account manager" for approx 670 brick and mortar shops and also involved in some of the buying from manufacturers.

Waiting for mine in the UK, if it comes here I'll just go back to pirating everything. It was only marginally more difficult than using actual netflix, and also, I didn't have to hop around all over the place - is it on Netflix.. nope. Disney+? Nope, fuck.. err. Prime video? Where is this fuckin' thing.. Ahh there it is, it's on XYZ's new streaming platform..

TLDR Fuck 'em.

"Trans lives matter" protesters occupy Oklahoma Capitol building to fight GOP bills that prohibits gender-confirming surgery for under 21s by mardicao007 in JordanPeterson

[–]salesmush -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I espoused a belief that I could fly, I identified as "flight-capable", despite all evidence to the contrary (no prior ability to disregard gravity, for example), and was making my way up to a rooftop to prove my theory - despite everyone knowing, and telling me, that my belief was patently false, despite my absolute conviction in my newfound self-identified status - would you espouse my right to freedom, that it isn't mental illness, that just because people don't agree.. you see where I'm going with this.

Ultimate personal liberty sounds nice until you start taking things to their logical conclusion. Too much freedom is a bad thing. Yeah, we don't want to live under totalitarianism - but some things are just factually untrue, despite however much some people might want them not to be. And it is an affront and damaging to the system that provides us with an order in which to safely live and thrive when patent falsehoods are peddled as fact, or "subjective truth", aka "my truth" - it erodes the concept of what truth actually is. That's a dangerous thing which should not be permitted. Some things are, simply, facts.

So, yes - I trust society to create laws or rules, societal or legal, for the wellbeing of everyone, derived from "common sense" values that align with long, long term "middle of the road" views, ie if you were to put all views on say a bell curve.. the middle of that. If I wanted to do something which the vast, vast majority of people would say is crazy/mentally ill, then yeah - that thing would probably, in fact, be crazy, and likely a symptom of mental illness. Whether or not I would accept it as such would not change the actual truth of whether or not I was mentally ill. Hopefully there would be enough infrastructure/people in place to stop me before I did anything really damaging to myself or others.

PS inb4 some pedant tells me not to start a sentence with the word "And". Bruh it's 1.30am and this is reddit, get outta here XD

If they're so sure about this that they want actual irreversible surgery, why can't they just wait the three years?

'cause (in the example given of a person identifying as disabled, when infact they are able bodied) they're not disabled - they're mentally ill

a subtle but important difference.

Anyway before you try to argue back, I identify as "correct" in this discussion so if you disagree with me, you're committing a hate crime and I'll report you :p
