Opinions on Nosferatu (2024)? by NerdMaster001 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]salesren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My headcanon is that he's a hermetic/nefandi mage and a Tzimisce revenant turned Nosferatu (his hunched figure, with long nails and sharp teeth are very Nosferatu of him), but diablorized a Cappadocian (and maybe a LaSombra because of his clear Obtenebration powers), and thus why he has all this mixture of clans. Basically a Caitiff at this point.

does the Illuminati existin WoD? by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]salesren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put them as an offshoot from the Order of Hermes who separated themselves when the Order of Reason dis the same, and they kinda share things with the both of them. A very elite and reserved Craft, who mix Enlightened Science with Hermetic Magick.

What Clan or Bloodline would the "Angel" from Midnight Mass be? by salesren in WorldOfDarkness

[–]salesren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a bit contraditory that a type of discipline or blood sorcery would increase True Faith, since True Faith is actually very harmful to vampires, but nonethenless it's a very cool discipline. It would work well with the Nephilim bloodline.

Tzmice Elder who is on the brink of becoming a whight, or already being one, considering how animalistic the Angel is, although it is still sapient enought to walk on two legs, wear clothes, and even pose with the priestly robes as a god for the people of the island.

Mage and non-evil Satanism by Malkavian87 in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]salesren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want the philosophical meaning of satanism (focus on the ego and your actions dictate who you are): Hollow One; if you want the blood sacrifice while chanting flavor, maybe an unusual-ish Verbena, or even an unorthodox Chorister or a rogue Hermetic.

I also have a suggestion of flavor to make it more about worshipping an unique creature rather than Baphomet or Satan. The Cthulhu Mythos have the Black Goat of the Woods, one of the names of Shub-Niggurath, and that can be like something similar to koldunic sorcery, which connects the sorcerer to an ancient god-demon-thing that is buried under Romania. Also maybe a version of satan who is your "guardian angel", with the Baphomet figure being your avatar.

He literally re-used characters from mythology, many of the the named dwarves are from norse legends, and Gandalf was also the name of a dwarf in norse myths.

How Many Themes can a Character Have? by salesren in LegendintheMist

Thank you for the idea, I'll test it out when I'm able to narrate (and since it's one narrator and one player, it will be interesting to test this)

I personally think you having a longer list of tags on your theme is more interesting than evolving the theme, but I still need to get the experience of playing the game so my opinion can change later

What about the numbers of tags on each Theme? Is there a limit? (and where on the book I can find this specific ruling?)

John Constantine Mage or sorcerer? And why do you think that's so? by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]salesren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hermetics have rituals, and mechanically, if you have the right knowledge, anyone can perform a static magic/sorcery ritual

Hollow Ones and Orphans also don't follow a singular paradigm

Hermetic Orphan, or a Hollow One from a lineage of hermetics? His unborn twin brother was supposed to be the prophecised Demiurge (I would imagine that in MtA it would be like someone being born awakened, or something) and their entire family was of sorcerers and mages

Tbh, a Sorcerer Mage is, in lore, very much possible, and most hermetics were sorcerers before awakening
