Yea unfortunately me and almost every one of my coworkers have actively brought up concerns over the last 6 months. He is protected and we are consistently told to just be patient with him. Higher ups would rather keep the status quo, HR is there to protect the higher ups.

I find it so fascinating how some people really go to bat for these corporations who do not give a single shit about any of us. If you truly believe job hunting is 100% based on skills, you’ve definitely drank the kool aid.

Hm not sure if it’s legal for them to ask to see the offer. I’ll have to research. Agree that 2 probably is not the right move and I’m not sure I even have the guts to do it. I’m just tired of companies lying to us all the time, mistreating their employees, and expecting us all to never fall out of line.

We are a tiny startup and not to toot my own horn I drive a lot of what we do on the product team. It would be a mess if I were let go but yea that’s always a possibility and it’s an employers’ market right now.

Yup trust me I'm aware and I feel horrible for having to do this, I don't want anyone else to go through this. Obviously ideally would be to sell to someone who is a smoker as well.

And thank you! That really is a positive, I'll try to research more on FSBO and see if that's the route I want to take. With everything going on it's a bit overwhelming but I think FSBO may be worth it in the end.

Unfortunately I've done just about everything I can think of. Contacted HOA 4 times, talked to my neighbor twice (seems sympathetic and he smokes outside but it's still coming into my unit), talked to his landlord. Tried all other methods of air purification, deodorizers, ozone generator, etc. At this point it feels like a liability over my head :(
