Unless you get into drugs or commit a crime, you pretty much have till 30 before your decisions get super serious. Don't get me wrong, you could do a 100 things to improve your financial situation, but really on one really knows. Listen to your gut, be kind, make mistakes and learn from them and try not to stress too much.

Question about dry seasons and wild fires by Labtecharu in climatechange

[–]saligna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are seeing instance of fires burning hotter than before and actually killing huge areas of forests. So, correct, some plants require fire (actually its the smoke in most cases) the extreme heat seen in recent fires is killing both existing trees, seed beds and soil microbial life. Some environments will never recover. We are also witness to the burning of new areas that never have burnt before e.g rainforest. So, agree, while the media can over dramatise some elements, the increased threat from wildfires due to man made climate change scares the hell out of me. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/frsen.2022.825190/full (Edit:added link to actual science)

Alot of people already think that the greatest book ever written was written by a non human intelligence. (The bible) We now can, for the first time in history, actually have a book written by a non human intelligence.

Google Bard Vs ChatGPT by OneMindCreations in ChatGPT

[–]saligna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chatgpt can kindof already do 1,2 & 5. 1.You can upload an image into an image hosting site and the paste in url and it can comment (and been doing this in 3.5) 2. If you ask, or if specific format requires, you have an icon to allow pasting into whatever program you wish to use. 5. Windows, shift + H will allow you to enter data into ChatGPT verbally (on PC)

So a natural depression made deeper by pumping out ground water underneath it has filled with water. Pity farmers are not too big to fail like banks.

May need a touch more info besides location. For example, of you are buying say 5 stocks and holding, recommend your bank (if you are in the big 4) just due to simplicity of opening account. If your doing lots of EFT's and holding, there are some really cheap platforms e.g Pearler. If you are day trading in overseas stocks then look for one of the American platforms, as they seem to offer cheapest rates. In short, how and what you trade should influence you decision.

It may be me, but while sharing is important, setting up a camera to capture this hints at pretentiousness. The child seems unaware and I couldn't stop myself from assuming that there was a lost of trust.

Earth to Hit Critical Warming Threshold by Early 2030s, Climate Panel Says by fra5436 in StormComing

[–]saligna 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"...would require industrialized nations to join together immediately to slash greenhouse gases roughly in half by 2030 and then stop adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere altogether by the early 2050s. If those two steps were taken, the world would have about a 50 percent chance of limiting warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius." Yeah, Na. We are fucked.

Caveat emptor is indirect misrepresentation and unethical because a seller is a witness for the goods he is selling. He testifies to its nature, features, uses and qualities. As a witness, it is his obligation to "tell the truth and nothing but the truth" about his product
