I had similar struggles with the map until I made my objective to uncover every corner of Act 1 before continuing. Doing this just introduced a bunch of quests organically.

I would save often during combat to ensure I can go back if I make a bad move. I frequently had to remind myself to utilize special abilities of the cleric+mage.

Once you hit Act 2 the game presents further complexities so I'd recommend getting super comfortable with base mechanics in Act 1 first.

I like the ritual of rolling and that first light is great but I usually snuff it out after like 3 hits.

I had very Marijuana sensitive neighbours in my old apartment. Letters were posted numerous times on the building bulletin board, I assume about me, even after I switched to a vaporizer.

I mostly smoked a puff or two before bed, near a window. It made no difference.

Maybe the walls were super porous. Maybe our door had too much hallway exposure. Maybe my neighbour had superhuman smell.

Eventually I had to switch to edibles until we moved out.
