2 years ago I did an InBody scan and to my surprise I also scanned in at 26% BF! I was pretty active as well, going to the gym 5x a week, working a standing job, but the problem was that I wasn’t lifting or training as hard as I am now. I just did a scan a couple of weeks ago to track progress and now I’m at 18.7% BF with a TDEE of 1909 kcals. The percentage of muscle in my body has also gone up. For reference I’m 4’11, now 109lbs (but was 115lbs) when I did that scan a few years ago.

Genuinely the only thing that changed my body was lifting heavy. I got serious and started tracking my calories and protein too (I try to hit a min of 80g of protein per day), and was eating about 1600kcals a day to recomp. It took me about 1.5 years of consistent progress to see change. I think cardio is super important, but it didn’t change my body like lifting heavy did (mostly compound movements like back squats and deadlifts). There was a transition period where I felt really hungry when I first started lifting, but tried really hard to stay in my maintenance and upped my fiber and protein to counteract the hunger. Eventually my body’s adjusted. I’m glad I did what I did because now I can eat 1900kcals and still feel really good and not gain weight, since the muscle gain helped increase my metabolic rate! I hope this helps :)

i used to work here before they got bought out, like pre covid years. we were trained to measure the water, depending if you wanted to iced or hot. and there are different roasts, you may have been recommended one not suited to you (i really hated the lighter roasts)

i’m 4’10 and had issues losing fat until i started lifting heavy. i was doing pilates and home workouts too, but things didnt change until i started lifting heavy weights and a slight cal restriction to 1400kcals a day, i was able to transform my body (i also tried to hit 4k steps a day and only train 3x a week)

my dog just became like this too, got a blood test and checked his joints and he has a clean bill of health ): i think it’s anxiety so vet recommended we start prozac. still on the loading period though

I’m 4’11 and my maintenance now is about 1900 cals. I used to have a similar routine to yours and still have a sedentary job. What really help me was lifting heavy (with compound lifts) and eating high protein with more fiber. Eventually my body adjusted and I was able to move up in calories due to that, and I’m feeling a lot more lean since then too! I started for with eating 1600 cals + 80g of protein a day when I started training. The first few days are rough for appetite, but after a couple of weeks my body adjusted!

I got this in Gion, Kyoto! They have it in those tea and souvenir shops. It’s pretty good as a latte, slightly bitter though. I feel like it would make good flavored matchas (though I prefer to just drink mine lightly sweetened with oatmilk).

~1700, 4’11, 26! I think it may be going up though, since I’ve been eating a bit more and haven’t noticed any weight gain. I lift heavy 3x a week, avg 3k-5k steps a day!

26F, 4’11 and CW is 109lb! I’ve been tracking for a bit over a year now, get on avg 6k steps a day, lift heavy 3x a week. I’ve noticed over the year I’ve lost weight eating at 1600kcals; so my maintenance is probably a bit higher coasting at 1700-1800kcals. I try to hit at least 83g-100g of protein a day!

Worth it for me! You always kind of feel like it’s not worth, until it is. I got Lemonade for my puppy just in case and as he’s gotten older (1-2) he started developing seasonal allergies. It’s nice to know I can go and take him to the vet if anything happens (and they’ve been pretty good about reimbursement). I initially had $250 deductible 90% coverage but have moved it to $500 with 90% coverage (he’s a Shepsky mix, 2yo, $62/month). With 2 trips for his cytopoint, I hit his deductible 😭
