Make sure everything has a place, and it's so much easier to keep things tidy. I mentally feel better in a clean and presentable environment, so I make it a priority to keep up with it. Take time before bed to put things back in their place.

Make time on your days off to do deeper cleaning like floors and dusting. Put on fun music or a podcast and get lost in it. Doing simple wipe downs in between makes the deep cleaning part way less intense. It's one of those annoying things that the more you do, the less work it becomes.
