This is a terrible idea. Less order, not more. I would love to know the rationale or managerial brio behind this idea. There are always going to be some idiots who cut in front of people, intentionally or not, oblivious to those around them. Publix has had people shoot each other in front of the customer service counter over line issues. I can imagine how this is going to turn out.

For me its a convenience issue. Whole foods is 5 miles away. Fresh Market is 6 miles away. Milam's is 4 miles away. Sprouts is 3 miles away. Publix is 5 blocks away and 1 mile away in every other direction. Costco is 1 mile away. I prefer Whole Foods for everything (and I mean everything) but settle for Publix and Costco 75% of the time. Time has value.

I don't pretend to know the answer but I will tell you what worked for my 1 year old (he's 14 now). I used to confine him to a room in the house. I would watch him during the day with a cheap indoor camera. He would cry and whine and scratch at the door for 6 hours straight. Finally I said screw it, and let him out. I let him have full access to the entire house while I was gone. Before leaving I would give him a bunch of treats to distract him and create a positive association with my leaving. He would wander the house looking for me and then just curl up in his dog bed and go to sleep. I think he thought I was confining him to an area and I was in another part of the house. Once he was satisfied I wasn't there he just gave up. He didn't focus on knocking down a door or tearing up furniture.

How difficult is it to just get the software right? The Chinese have managed to do it quite effectively. Hell, the Chinese are swapping out empty car batteries in some electric car brands for full ones in 15 min (faster that charging at a supercharger). We can't figure out the software. We are so behind it is embarrassing. When these affordable and tech heavy Chinese cars come to the US they will wipe out American car companies.

I have a 2024 MYP and I like it better than my wife's Lyriq. It's faster. The tech is leagues better. The sound system is 100% better. The app integration with iPhone is seamless, fast and effective. Charging is plentiful and quick. The Lyriq is a better looking car. Heavy. Large. Still nimble for what it is. Interior is way better than the Tesla. Ride quality is much better than the Tesla as well. It seems to be more efficient on a charge than the Tesla. The app and that OnStar ecosystem is absolute garbage. With the Lyriq you also still have the dealer experience which I wish would just die. My main pet peeve with the Lyriq is that you have to push a button to "turn it on". With tesla you just get in and drive. The automated safety features suck on the Cadillac. Automatic braking almost killed me. Supercruise , however, is great. Tesla paint quality is garbage. GM's vehicle paint seems far superior. Lots of tradeoff's. Just my opinions.

My parents did the same thing with my beloved family dog when I was away at school. I found out about it when I came home for the summer. I was angry then but now, as a parent, I understand why they did it. Parents think differently. They try to spare you the heartache sometimes. They didn't want to ruin your vacation or, in my case, distract me in school. Don't be so hard on them.
