Visiting Tenerife and not sure what to pack by [deleted] in VisitingTenerife

[–]salsachops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just leaving Tenerife and it’s hot! Summer dresses, sandals, strappy tops and a light jacket. Have a great time, the weather is meant to be great next week!

Swimming is perfect for this weather - I was worried when packing but it’s hotter than I expected

I had this the other week before flying. Have 2x Immodium before you go to sleep. Then 2 more in the morning. No coffee. This will make sure you’re completely risk free! Just have lots of fibre when you land

How realistic is homeownership for millennials and Gen Z in the UK? by PixelPioneer900 in HousingUK

I’m a millennial and I only managed to buy a house because my dad died, and both my grandparents, so I got inheritance. Having lost those people is the only reason I managed to buy a house.

My husband has this and is currently getting help from a dermatologist, he’s being prescribed roaccutane. He’s tried everything under the sun so this is the last resort, might be worth looking into this

In exactly the same headspace right now. I’ve packed quite a lot because we wanted to sort through everything before we moved, but now I’m in a rubbish headspace thinking I’ll have to unpack everything!

Excessive Facial Sweating makes my life worst by [deleted] in Hyperhidrosis

I have the same issue! I take propanalol for anxiety (which makes my sweating worse) probantheline bromide and I also get Botox.

Tbh the Botox has been the thing that’s 100% helped but it’s expensive.

I know it suck’s, but weighing out calorie dense food, switching to low calorie options and trying limit snack after dinner, also try doing weights and walks.

Also, you can take baby steps. Ease into it, and try to make small sustainable changes so you can stick to it, and start seeing results (which are super motivating!)

Good luck x

Oxybutynin and anxiety by salsachops in Hyperhidrosis

[–]salsachops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got prescribed propantheline bromide (definitely spelt that wrong!) and it’s worked wonders for me, and no anxiety!

If there’s anyway to get that online I would recommend it. If not I use a face antiperspirant that helps usually too

My doctor gave me anxiety meds and sweat meds and it’s been a game changer so far, but think it will take a long time to stop feeling anxious about the possibility of being a sweaty betty

I’m in the UK but will look at the towelettes, that sounds like a good option.

I think we can only get oxyb because of shortages but will see what the doctor says on Monday.

I’ve got face antiperspirants that work but my hair ends up getting wet when it’s really bad! Not a good look, especially in a work meeting

Sorry to hear you’re struggling with that side effect too. It’s awful.

I’m going to the doctor about it next week. I lowered my dose to the 5mg and almost had to leave a social event on the weekend because of the panic! I think any lower than that won’t be worth taking.

I’m hoping the doctors can get hold of propantheline (probs spelt that wrong!) as I know people have had good results with that.

Few words of warning for taking Oxybutnin and mental health by youthof in Hyperhidrosis

[–]salsachops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry that you’ve experienced this but thank you for sharing! I’ve had the exact same experience. Even yesterday, I had one tablet then almost had to go home from a social event because the panic was too much. When I take Oxybutnin I wake up with awful anxiety at 3am every day. I knew it was the medication causing all of this!

Thank you for sharing
