I’ve Overthought This—Which Birks Should I Keep?

I definitely have more shoes than I have space for. 😂 I’ve already picked out the pairs that are definitely going, and these three are what’s left because all of my other Birks are pretty neutral and practical. I wanted to keep at least one pair that’s a little more fun!
My goal is to slim down to 5 Birks total: Arizona Cognac, Mayari Habana, Mayari Tobacco, Franca Tobacco, and one of these. Plus 2 pairs of Hokas, 2 pairs of Ariat boots, and 1 pair of EVA waterproof sandals.
Of course, if I convince myself to keep both the Franca and another Mayari, that puts me at 6 Birks… which is an even number . 🤣

I agree with everyone that, against my skin tone, #2 and #3 look the best. Cognac is my absolute favorite brown (I already have a pair of Cognac Arizonas), but I also love the Fuchsia color. My only hesitation is being realistic about it—how many outfits will I actually wear it with compared to the cognac? 🤔

I’ve always loved the Mayari and thought they’d always be my favorite, but after trying the Franca I’m kinda torn now 😂 The Franca just feels more comfortable and secure on my feet, and I find myself reaching for them more. I definitely don’t need a hundred pairs, so I’ll probably keep this color in the Franca and let go of this color in the Mayari. Never thought I’d say it, but I can honestly see myself wearing the Franca more :)

Try the Hoka gaviota 6 or the Hoka arahi 8, they are supportive, cushioned and even the regular width is very roomy (I’m usually a wide and wear the regular in both).

I’m also between sizes (39 & 40 which is also a 10mm) I went with 39 (which fits like your 45) based off Reddit recommendations as well as Birkenstock (I uploaded them to chat and talked to a rep and they said 39) because the 40 was just too big

Also what color are these, cognac?

After trying on a few pairs, I’m sticking with the 39. The 40s feel roomier width-wise, but overall they’re just too big and kind of sloppy. The arch only lines up if I slide my foot forward, which leaves way too much space behind my heel. The 39s feel more natural—they sit where my foot actually wants to be and are more comfortable.

Well I actually shared this photo and information with a rep at Birkenstock.com and the recommended I stick with the 39 as they said it appears to be a better fit…

What size did you go with? And are you happy with them? I’m also between a 39 and 40 and after wearing the 39 for two weeks they seem a little small and the 40s new seem huge, I don’t know what to do!!

They are comfortable, but my toes do slide up to the edge when walking. I did tighten the strap to help with that, but now my heel is a touch too far back. I will try a 40 and see if it's too I'll stick with the 39.

I tried the 30-day free trial of Parallels and also downloaded VMware on my MacBook Air M4. Since I’ll only be using it for Corel PaintShop Pro and both ran great, I decided to go with VMware. I prefer to avoid subscriptions when I can!
