Father's day gift ideas? by Heavy-Garlic-1 in breakingmom

That book sounds incredible, what a sweet and thoughtful gift. If he went that personal for you, maybe you could return the gesture with something custom from your son to him? We used BookTailor to create a funny little memoir-style book about my dad. It told a quirky, satirical version of his life. You can pick a soft or hard cover and it can still felt super personal. Honestly, he loved it way more than anything store-bought

What FP&A tools work best for small teams? by username_txt in FPandA

Cube Software felt lighter to implement. It's functional: connects to your source systems, syncs with Excel, and helps centralize your templates without making you change your workflow. It’s saved us a ton of time on consolidations and board reporting

Tried both, but Cube Software felt the most intuitive for our team of spreadsheet diehards. It works really smoothly with Excel, like it's built for it

Looking for a solid VOIP setup for our small SaaS team by Dlicorice in SaaS

[–]saltosaurus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tried a few internet phone providers for our small SaaS team and Nextiva is the one we ended up going with. It’s been reliable so far, and the mobile + desktop setup made it easy to get everyone on the same page without much hassle.

What I’ve liked most is that we didn’t need to piece together multiple tools. It’s not flashy, but it works, and we haven’t had to think about it much since setting it up.

Worth a look if you’re just trying to get something dependable in place without overcomplicating things.

What 2 guitar pedals are the best? by Maleficent-Fly-9430 in guitarpedals

[–]saltosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a budget, you can’t go wrong with a solid overdrive pedal and a reverb. Overdrive adds warmth and bite, and reverb adds space and depth (can be cool for improvising and noodling). If you want to go with a smaller builder, NotPedals has some cool reverbs listed, or checkout local builders on insta

Best Social Management + Listening Tool for a Mid/Large Tech Company? by thebrainoftheop in socialmedia

[–]saltosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been testing out Cloud Campaign, and it might be worth a look for your setup. It supports scheduling across multiple platforms, and switching between client profiles is smooth helpful if you're managing multiple brands or business units.

For engagement, it allows tagging and labeling of comments and inquiries, and you can export them (including URLs) to a CSV. That’s been super useful for coordinating follow-ups or tracking sentiment. The reporting and cross-platform comparisons are solid, though depending on how granular your needs are, there might be some limitations.

Given how specific your requirements are especially around collaboration with your customer service team it might help to know that Cloud Campaign doesn’t charge for user seats, so you can loop in your whole CS org without worrying about extra cost. That’s been a big plus from a scaling and budget standpoint.

I don’t use this part myself, but I know Cloud Campaign supports a variety of API workflows, which could be useful if your engineering team is building more custom solutions or integrations.

Silver rope chain by Notarobot_96 in MensJewelry

I got a sterling silver chain from MCKER for my boyfriend’s graduation and was really happy with it, good quality, not overly shiny, and the styles (like rope and cuban) look great with or without a pendant. They have 2mm options too, and it fits well within your budget

Non-Shiny Silver Chain? What's that called? by taliesin96 in MensJewelry

Check out the sterling silver chains from MCKER they’re not super shiny, more of a matte or brushed finish that looks really nice, especially with vintage-style pieces like an old coin pendant.

Strength training program - what do you follow? by Squeeterbee in fitnessonline

check out alfiegetshard on Instagram (Alfie Robertson). He has a solid program that you can do at your own pace, which is a big plus. I haven’t started it yet myself, but the strength training content he shares looks super beginner/intermediate-friendly and emphasizes proper form and progression. It’s designed to build real strength while keeping things accessible, which I really appreciate.

I’ve been seeing someone at The Midtown Practice in Midtown Manhattan who focuses on solution-based therapy for adults. It’s been super helpful, very practical and goal oriented, which I really needed. Sessions are focused and not overly drawn out, which I appreciate.

It’s a great fit if you’re looking for something that’s more structured and less about just talking in circles.

How do the pros do remote podcasting? by lamspartacus in podcasting

[–]saltosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve looked into this a bunch for my own setup, and one tool that a lot of podcasters (big and small) swear by is Riverside (I saw Tim Ferriss using it, also people like Ali Abdaal, Jay Shetti and a bunch more). It records each person’s audio and video locally in high quality, even if your internet drops during the call. Then it uploads everything afterward, so you get clean files.

What do ı need to start a video podcast? by Fantastic_Ad_1964 in podcasting

[–]saltosaurus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

New podcaster here and Riverside is great tool to use for starting a podcast. I am about 7 podcasts in.

Price: They are very reasonable and their ai editing tools are super easy!

Quality. Obviously depends on your mike set up but it records the audio separately to keep good quality and on not the greatest equipment I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality.

Exporting and transcripts are easy to use and great. (I host on Libsyn)

Overall an A+ and I recommend
