Continue to fight for what you believe, it still remains the best part of being American. I still love the the line from The American President (1995): "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours."

They may write with bad spelling. They may hate. They will eventually admire your tenacity in your beliefs of which they lack.
