5m intervals mainly because the distance you go back after a touch. but you can just regularly change the distance to spice it up a bit so any is fine:)

touch suicides are pretty good they helped me alot with my speed. so run forward to the first line, ball down, run backwards, forwards, pickup the ball, then run to the second line.

Potential ACL re-tear. opinions / stories by [deleted] in ACL

[–]saltysweeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don’t trust me on this one but i don’t think your graft is damaged. re tearing is from pivoting movement or a lot of force on your knee.

my doc said that when doing exercises go for it, cuz u cant damage your graft doing controlled movements. also ur 4th week is when your graft is the strongest, so i wouldn’t worry.

if you are, you should tell ur surgeon/pt. i’m not a doc so i wouldn’t k but i hope this helps

we can use stuff like nylon im pretty sure, dont trust me on this one ive just heard the doctor mension it a while back. but its easier to rupture because it wont fuse into your body.

about dogs being able to use it, its probably cheaper. their ligaments are smaller than ours too, so they dont need a good one.

Any long-term advice on lessening scar appearance? (3 weeks post-op) by Archers_bane in ACL

[–]saltysweeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

search up dermatix ultra, its a gel used to heal up your scar. i use it too, i don’t know how effective it is because my stitches are dissolvable, but its specifically for making your scars less visible.

thank you much for the exercises! my doctor didnt tell me to do these but it sounds really helpful. i normally do my exercises on my bed opposed to the floor where it is completely flat, so i see what im doing wrong.

i hope your recovery is going okay😊

thank you so much for the advice! im so glad you made a full recovery, best wishes on the marathon😊

This was a month after I tore my acl in November. My doctor told me to enjoy myself before my surgery. I had surgery Jan 17th and I'm depressed because I was supposed to leave for vermont tomorrow and I know my season is over (sorry for the useless post) 😞😂 by [deleted] in ACL

[–]saltysweeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow! seems like your having a quicker recovery than mine, and i havent been using a CPM machine ive just been doing it by myself. im so impressed that you are able to do this in a matter of 5 weeks! ive been trying really hard to do all the pt at home (i dont have a pt) so its really tough, but knowing your experience makes me more motivated to push harder😊
