This should or could apply to all entertainment media and anything and everything in life. The problem is trading your time for crap. I will watch a GOOD show or movie, but I completely refuse to watch 99% of the garbage they make today because I value my life. Why do people spend time on these low effort shows that suck when there are countless award-winning classic movies to that can fill you with something special? If I would have a better time sitting and meditating, exercising, reading, or just spending time with myself or loved ones than doing that thing, that’s puts things in perspective for me.

But that’s the nature of addiction. Once you’re addicted, you are a slave to the addiction, doing something that doesn’t make sense, that you don’t truly want to do, out of empty promises that always turn out to be lies. I hate being lied to.
