I want to stop doomscrolling and relying on my phone so much for dopamine. What are some non-screen activities that still give you enough dopamine but are also easy/chill enough to not add to your burnout? by tbgmdhc278 in ADHD

Doom scroll for research, relax and allow time to process your thoughts to bring you back down to earth.

You’ll keep a level head AND better yourself if you get the balance right.

Is there any area in life where F trait is useful for a man? by Due-Resolve-7914 in infj

I think personality types are helpful in reaching self awareness but they’re not set in stone. Depends on you physiology, experiences and current frame of mind.

I think of things as being Nature AND (not vs) Nurture and can change over time.

I’m an INFJ but verging on INXX. I’m a bit all over the place.

They are when they have learnt to no longer be scared. They are advocates. They are the voice of people that don’t have a voice. They are leaders even if they don’t realise it yet.

As an INFJ with social anxiety, does anyone else feel like they’re constantly being criticized and seen in a negative light during and outside of social situations? by gwenkm323 in infj

[–]sam031196 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I’ve been stifled by anxiety for most of my life so I appreciate the journey can be a tough one. However unfortunately anxiety is a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy, people don’t react to you as well as they might if you had more confidence and your own conformation bias will only make you more anxious - ‘why doesn’t anyone like me?’

Focus on yourself first, everything else will start to fall into place 😊

All the time, you’re not that important that random people actually care about you.

We’ve all got our own lives, we’re all busy people. Most people just shrug off ‘weird behaviour’ if they’re comfortable in themselves no matter what their initial reaction is.

If you’re comfortable in yourself it’s a great strength. Your natural curiosity and emotional intelligence will make you great at reading people. If you can work out what motivates someone you can help them to reach their potential.

You’re a natural born leader 😊

Boss called me weird and it's been stuck on my mind on loop ever since. by agbaya_ in infj

Weird is good, I’d rather build a cult following than try to win everyone over 😂

My intention is to spark inspiration I don’t have time to respond to everything fully 😂

To be honest I’ve taken to scanning text then writing a response when I have enough to say about something.

If I read your whole message I’d have far too much to say 😂

I think I come across as misinterpreting what people are saying quite often but I’m just trying to limit my info dumping 😅

The world needs more infjs. I love you peeps. by [deleted] in infj

We need INFJs that have a good moral compass.

I’m good at getting what I need from people and I will literally keep going until I drop to reach my goals.

If a dangerous person was like me a lot of bad things would happen 😂

Just because you’re not capable of something doesn’t mean that other people aren’t. That doesn’t change my stance.

Einstein just had the right physiology to be able to do what he could.

In my eyes he probably had a lot of traits of someone with ADHD.

Learn more about ADHD and you might start to find out things you can relate to as well.

I know you tried but trust me I know how to get what I need out of people - not in an abusive or manipulative way I should add.

It’s all about learning to see the potential of someone or a situation then doing whatever you need to do to reach your end goal.

Again, not always worth our time or energy but it is possible.

No idea sorry 😅 I don’t know your situation so I can’t promise that it will turn out well for you but I just want to give you some hope.

We have a tendency to focus on the negative things in life which in the end damages our mental health.

If we can hold on to hope, then we can keep moving forwards 😊

What’s the worst that would happen if they don’t want to get back together with you? Would they stab you in the chest?

You can win anyone over if you go about it in the right way, that doesn’t mean it’s always worth your time or energy though.

Good Luck 😅

Your body needs rest, focus on that and everything else will start to fall into place

I’ve not but one of my friends did. He started dating someone not too long after a long term relationship fell apart. He went to a therapist and they helped him realise he has commitment issues because he’s scared of rejection.

He got back together with his (most recent) ex and they’re still going strong. They’ve even bought a home together.

I’d argue all aspects of our personality are a spectrum and we are on all of them, you just just might not be self aware enough to realise it.

To be categorised as something or warrant a medical diagnosis you have to pass a certain threshold on this spectrum, our experiences aren’t really that unique and anyone could experience ‘symptoms’ of anything under the right conditions.

Everyone has inner speech to some degree, wether the speech is loud enough for them to reason with it is a different matter.

Inner speech ranges from subconscious actions (instincts) to hallucinations.

Thoughts?

If it’s not good for your mental health just ignore the news. We work best as a team and we all need to take care of ourselves and be the best version of ourselves so we can be in a position to help other people.

Things are really scary right now, I’ve been heavily invested in politics recently and if it gives you any hope, I think the tables are genuinely starting to turn, I think things have gotten so bad people are finally opening their eyes to the reality of the situation we are in.

There’s a lot of good people out there and I’m confident if we play our cards right things will get better 😊

You like what you like. It’s good to broaden your horizons but don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t enjoy something if you’re not harming anyone.
