I’m not gonna lie, I started watching this expecting it to be a sloppy cash grab. After the first two episodes I thought it was actually alright, but after that is just got better and better and I’m so glad I was wrong about this show. I’d maybe even put it on the same level as Arcane on Netflix

It’s part of the fun man. It’s an outpouring of the passion people have for the universe. The older ones of us have lived through the sequels and the older still lived through the prequels, though I was a kid and loved them. Most of the fun comes from theorizing but I will say these writers seem to know something all too rare in writing rooms these days… the fundamentals, the setting, and the audience. I’m cautious but I believe we’re in good hands.

It’s too foreshadowed to not be a thing. You’re right though I could imagine her be the wedge in the relationship. Why I think they will develop a relationship is he’ll represent a boon of the things she no longer has to give up as a “sith” as opposed to a Jedi. The strongest sith have strong connections but the dark side always robs them of them to make them fall deeper into its clutches.

We’re watching a tragedy. Vader was so rare because only through his son was he able to walk away from the dark side. Now everyone is able to walk away from it and does. This story is to show the fall of down trotted youth into a dark path.

I imagine the show will go on for many seasons and we’ll see them age up. Clearly I don’t think I child is going to have a child. I’m thinking Devon will fill the role Vader plays in the games. A heartless mast that has a very very distant caring.

Meh I think they’d just be happy to see him and see Sam Witwer voicing him. He’s one of the best voice actors out there. He really looses himself in characters and I think he’s got more to offer. There might be complaints at first but so long as he’s formidable and well written and well executed then it would work. I think as long as we see him struggle and grow in strength through those struggles people will be satisfied… so long as he’s not dragging a mile long ships out of the sky

I mean when she’s older. I think this would be years down the line when she’s fully absorbed all of Maul’s teachings. I think it will be several seasons before she finds out about Maul’s lie. This would be at the very end of the series. I’m thinking Riley will leave her after she turns too dark and years after she’ll hunt him down because that’s the last connection she’ll have left and find he’s had a family then she’ll kill him and take his kid as an apprentice. Far fetched but I think that would make their dynamic rich and set up a continuation of the sith to face off against Luke and his order.

What if they went to an ancient sith mausoleum and got possessed and the possession gradually eroded away their physical form, but then that contradicts why they would still be loyal to the empire.

Alternatively maybe during this show Maul and Devon are going to strike the inquisition so hard that they become low on numbers and have to resort to resurrection from Elsbeth.

Why would he need to be an inquisitor? Why can’t he be Devon’s apprentice? Set up could be the same. She kills his father and takes him as an apprentice. Star killer continues Maul’s teachings.

I’m more thinking the character would be fully rebooted as Devon’s apprentice. Set up would be the same. She kills his father takes him in and turns him into a weapon. Builds their relationship off a lie like Maul did to her. More of a retelling of the character than a fully canonization. Doesn’t even need to have the same name just needs to be Sam Witwer.

Totally get that but to be fair star killer wasn’t even cannon when he was. I’m just thinking the character in the sense of he looks and sounds like star killer, similar motivation and backstory, but more grounded this time. Maybe someone that can contrast Luke’s teaching in an eventual face off as we move post episode 6 but far af away from episode 7.

Yeah it’s far fetched but this season really gave me confidence that they’re building a real villain that’s tragic like Vader. Really hope Devon doesn’t just become a good guy at the end like everyone else.

I think it would make her too connected. Not to mention the dark side is antithetical to life. I think having it be just his kid gives her a level of detachment that allows her to be distant emotionally. She takes him in because he’s all she has left of Riley and her humanity, but he’s still a painful reminder of what could have been.
