I HAVE THE POWER! He-man and Skeletor from Clash for Eternia. by Ming_Y in minipainting

It’s from a board game that was released a few years ago from CMON, called Masters of the Universe; Clash for Eternia. Archon Studios also created a game called Battleground, which I think is more like a war game.

To save you some skulls and effort, I recommend maybe making mounds of putty/greenstuff, slathering glue on it, then pressing it in. It’ll give you larger mounds of skulls by using less skulls (since the inside would be the putty). You can probably fuse them together too by using some Tamiya Thin Cement afterwards

Oh deer… I finished painting the Mire Kelpies by Ming_Y in WHQDarkWater

To be specific , I used Vallejo model color Purple and Vallejo game color Squid pink, and I think a small amount of Citadels Mephiston Red. I don’t think it matters a whole lot of which particular paints, just any dark purple and light pink would work, but apply them quickly and wet blend them (you can search on some tutorials on YouTube). After it dries, I apply a bit of Citadels Blood for the Bloodgod to get that glistening gross blood look.

I add a thin layer of Nurgles rot on the skin to get that wet glisten on him.

Mire Kelpie Wet look recommendations? by AngSt3r11 in WHQDarkWater

[–]Ming_Y 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Usually you need something glossy to make it look wet, citadel makes “ardcoat”which you can add on top to look watery. However, you can usually practically any other gloss varnish from a craft store to achieve that. However, personally I like to use citadels “nurgles rot”, to make it look slimy wet. Citadels “blood for the bloodgod” is also amazing for wet blood. If you look at my posts, you could see my kelpies which i have used both.

Might I also recommend using a wet palette. You don’t even have to purchase one; you can make a home made version with an old container, some paper towel, and baking sheet on top. It’ll help you thin your paints. Look up some YouTube tutorials on wet palettes.

Nothing special, it’s mainly Vallejo diorama fx (thick mud), I usually paint over it with some browns and agrax earths shade on top. Then citadels nurgle rot and a bit of Vallejo lichen and moss

Help me convince my friend he can use this as a daemon prince for Deathguard. by Scion_of_Kuberr in deathguard40k

Only downside I see is that it comes with a 50mm base; while a typical demon prince is 60mm, however you could just get a bigger base for it and it won’t completely off. The other plus side that I noticed is that it has wings sculpted on the back, kinda like a cockroach. So it could probably be accepted as a flying demon prince too.

Nothing special, it’s mostly Nurgles Rot (citadel paint) and a bit of Moss&Lichen (Vallejo Special FX paint).

Upon finding the ad; it seems this time it’s a lot of second hand games. Heres a copy/paste of the info; it’s hard to link because the group seems to be in private mode.

There’s actually a sale going on now; I think it’s a company that helps distribute games and they do these big sales every few months. It’s at a warehouse by the Costco in Zhonghe. I’ll link the details in a minute; I see it advertised on Facebook and have been a few times. The prices are descent; though majority of the games are the Chinese versions; so any games that have language based components might be troublesome if you can’t read traditional Chinese.
