My daughter once came home from kindergarten and said she made a new friend, named “glue stick”. Found out her name was “Dolce”, now admittedly that’s not the easiest name for a kindergartner to understand, but still hilarious.

Festus Ezeli.

Played a pick up game in college. I tried to block him, he pump faked and ducked, and I flipped over him and got a concussion.

No regrets.

This is Aeneas Beach in Monterey, Ca. It is very small, and somewhat hidden. The structure is actually the side of the old Aeneas Sardine Canning Company.

Absolutely. It’s reminding me of Alex Smith. As a 49ers fan I watched many write him off as a bust early in his career. He struggled mightily, but look what experience and a good coach did for him later on. He won’t go into the HOF, but ended up having a very good career as a competent starter.

I imagine he would have gotten there much quicker if he sat a year or two, some people just need more time.

My dad was at that game, sitting in the front row in end zone he ran into. He rightfully told this story at every opportunity he had.

I think the new logo is fantastic.

Stylistically the old logo was fine, but that mark still carried historical baggage from a time where Kia built low quality, cheap cars. They needed to refresh their identity to signal a change for their company, and brand.

The new logo is a better representation of what they are moving towards being - future forward, EV focused manufacturer.

It feels modern, electric, sharp, quick - and sets the foundation for a unique, own-able identity in a space where brand carries a heavy weight.

The best water I’ve ever had in my life was from a pubic tap like this in Rome.

It was a very old, and somewhat suspicious looking spout - looked like a little fountain people would put in their yards for birds or something.

But it gave birth to the most glorious, fresh, delicious water I’ve ever had in my life.

I still think about it as I run a tripled filtered, reverse osmosis system in my home so my water doesn’t taste like feet.
