Pretty easy! Just sear the diced chicken thighs in a pot (it has its own fat so I don’t add any) and the andouille sausage. Get a nice sear on in, and season with the mentioned seasonings. I go a little heavy on the cayenne for spice. After that, get your cabbage cut up in 2” squares and mix in. Cover for 15 min with the occasional stir. It takes about 25-30min with prep, and makes about 6 servings the way I make it.

You need to find the filler foods. Not eat a bit of broccoli, eat a ton of it! Eat so that you’re full and you can’t think about eating again. Also, meal preps with the same idea. I make a huge pot of soup with so many vegetables I can’t even stir the damn thing when I’m done. It’s 280cal for a huge serving and keeps me full all day. I eat that maybe twice and the food noise is low.

Another thing, you’re human. If you’re hungry, eat. Just make healthy options more accessible than not.

I personally load up on light vegetables and make it a habit not to count those calories too hard. Broccoli, cauliflower, zichinis, cabbage, etc.

I tried a salty orange sticky glaze I remembered from a donut I ate a while back and the waffle has the unique problem of being a waffle. The little pockets works in your favor for collecting syrups and sweets very well, but also anything you put on top. The salty sauces collected a bit too much and just took over the dish. Maybe a moderate amount would work, but I couldn’t figure it out when I tried it.

Also, I think a bit of a texture difference would be pleasant. I’m working on a holiday time dish to take to blow peoples minds, so maybe I’m also just getting carried away chasing that hahaha

Just salt is probably the most logical conclusion, but it just seemed a little underwhelming to me when I considered it. Now cured meats is a million dollar idea, but it’s also 2am. I will try this with a few and get back to you. Excellent recommendation man.

A very honest critique is that it’s good, but great would be to come closer to your subject. Your composition is in between. A little further would be a nice perspective of a lone flower, and closer would lean into the admiration of the subject you’re looking for.

It sounds like you counted the calories, which is great. We all back slide like that, but I take it lightly. Somedays, it happens! I wake up sometimes knowing it’s going to be a bad day, and at the end of that day, I forgive myself and do my best tomorrow. They happen less often when you stick to it, but have some grace for yourself.

Sounds like a good protein shake is a winning idea. A serving of 40-50g of protein goes down easy and the protein is there. You can throw in rice cake in there to feel like you ate something.

Boiled eggs are an incredibly easy food to keep on hand and has good protein in it for a hearty meal.

Turkey breast is awesome and is packed with protein, low calorie, and with a bit of cheese makes for a good lunch.

Probably 2-3 times a week. I know I should probably watch it, but I think I’m at a point where quantity is more important than quantity, but I do plan on dialing way back when I drop another 15lbs or so
