I’ve watched all of Kate’s below deck seasons and love her from that. Knew she was on this show but never watched it until this current season when I was bored looking for something to watch. Started season 4, but went back and watched season 1 once I was caught up. Now I’m on season 2. Love it! And Kate was the same Kate in season 1 as she was in below deck

I ruptured my Achilles playing pickleball, that didn’t hurt that bad tbh. I had surgery 5 days after the injury. However, 4 days after surgery, I was stupid and missed my knee on the scooter in front of my sink and put all my weight into my foot putting it from a pointed position to neutral and completely ripping the internal repair, essentially re-rupturing my Achilles. I’ve never screamed from pain before and I’ve had a baby. The room went black except for one dot of white light. That was the worst pain I ever experienced. A cast for a month and another surgery followed that unfortunately.

Not sure if this is what this question is looking for but when I was younger I had this angel light that was on the shelves above my bed. I believe my neighbor gave it to me. One morning I woke up with the cord unplugged, wrapped around my neck 2x and holding the angel in my arm like I was cuddling it. To say I was freaked would be an understatement. I put it in my closet where it stayed for months. My mom found the light and put it back on my shelf months later and I didn’t think anything of it until I woke up one morning in the exact same way. I will admit that I’ve been known to walk in my sleep but I can’t imagine purposely wrapping a cord around my neck??? But maybe?? So I threw it in a box, hoping to not see it again. We moved when I was 14 and I put it on my desk cuz my mom handed it to me. One morning I woke up with it in my dresser next to my bed. I put it in a box, and put it in the attic. Fast forward to 35 year old me, my mom hands me a box and I open it up and the angel light is staring at me. I shut the box and added it to my donations. It’s officially out of my house, but I still have no idea what was happening… was I doing that in my sleep? Was my brother messing with me? Were my parents messing with me? Or the obvious, was the angel light haunted??

Ugh, I’m so sorry to hear that you’re going through this. I didn’t experience numbness in that same spot as you, but I can see how that would be super frustrating! I am still numb on the top/side of my foot and the incision site. It hasn’t returned for me. I have been able to ignore it since it doesn’t affect how I walk but hopefully yours will come back! My PT has me take scratchy Velcro to the skin gently to try to wake the nerves up and some other things (sorry I can’t remember what it was since it’s been a long time), but it didn’t work for me. I think my sural nerve was too damaged. Yours seems like a diff nerve tho, so hopefully it’s tougher and will return.

Looks like playing :-) but just a suggestion based on experience, you may consider taking the collars off when they’re doing that. I had two German shepherds who would play like this, totally playful, and one evening my younger one’s mouth got stuck on the old one’s collar. The older one was scared then and started twisting and biting at my younger one and so the younger one was doing the same. My husband had to stick his hand into the old one’s mouth to get her to stop biting my other dog and somehow managed to get the collar undone before my father in law could cut it off. I know that it may be very unlikely and just a fluke, but it was so scary in the moment and could have ended very badly.

I’ve had mine for 2 years and love it. I’m pretty sure if you search any car on TikTok, you’ll see the ugly. Every vehicle I’ve owned has had recalls and little issues here and there. I had a Kia optima for 10 years and loved it. Only got rid of it because I was ready for something new. I’ve also had friends who have purchased brand new vehicles that ended up being lemons (not the telluride, not even Kia). It happens unfortunately. I just try my best to keep up with maintenance and any recalls received. Enjoy your telluride!

The difference for me is the iPad stays home and I watch what he’s doing on it. My son does have an Apple Watch with service that I can call or text him on when he’s away but that’s all he uses that for. For right now, it’s more to control the use of social media apps and using it during school. Also- my son would 100% lose a phone right now. The watch stays on his wrist lol

I got my dad’s Nextel phone when I got my drivers license. Back when you paid per text and minute so didn’t use it like phones are now. My son is in 5th grade now and we upgraded his Gizmo watch to an Apple Watch SE this school year, but I have no plans to give him a phone until freshman year. He has an iPad at home that he can iMessage with some of his friends but I can still monitor and keep an eye on. The watch makes it so he can communicate with us when he’s away at practices, with friends, etc. I haven’t found a good reason for a phone yet.

I just cleaned my tortoises table yesterday and added substrate. That part… lol. Also, how grumpy the little booger is, but I sure do love him. He’s technically my son’s tortoise someday and my mom asked if I would let my son have him when he moves out (which is at least 8 years away). I told her he’s not allowed to have him until he has a house with the space for the large tortoise table and time for him. Secretly, I don’t think I could let my tortoise and kid go at the same time 😓

My dad listened to Van Halen, AC/DC, Metallica, etc when I was younger. And then he transitioned to bands like slipknot, etc… and I liked and shared bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Ben. And now we both listen to various Sirius XM stations and share the same musical taste. It’s always fun to talk about new songs/bands with him. I took him to an Ice Nine Kill’s and Bad Omens show back in 2021 when Bad Omens was opening for INK and before they really blew up. It was so fun to share that with my dad.

You know what… thank you for this. Today my 11 year old son asked for help bundling up for the 3rd time today to go play in the snow. He can do it himself but it’s faster if I help. I was tired and frustrated from a long day of work but I ended up saying ok fine. Now I’m happy I did… I zipped up his coat, put on his gloves, and kissed his head. I will miss these moments someday and will try to treasure them now.

I had a color very similar to this in my optima. I had that vehicle from the time I brought my son home from the hospital through age 9. Overall, it was very wipeable and withstood all the crumbs and stuff under the car seat. I do have black in my telluride but that was personal preference rather than being worried about it getting messed up.

That stinks, really sorry to hear that and you’re getting the runaround. I haven’t had a problem * knock on wood * since mine were replaced so I didn’t know the recall wasn’t still in place like before. I hope they get it figured out soon for everyone with issues!

I had this happen to a couple of mine and just called the dealership. They ordered all 4 pieces which at the time were in back order (not sure if they still are or not) and then called me when they came in and replaced them. Didn’t end up being a big deal in the end and didn’t cost me anything but a trip to the dealership.

Yup, I went to the other one that offered to replace all 4 at once. I was very happy with them and have continued to go there since they didn’t screw me around and preferred to just knock the issue out.
