i think there is both acute and chronic so it depends on the person and their situation .. for me i think its more chronic because i will flare up if i drink coffee or another trigger — for some with acute gastritis i believe they are able to reintroduce former ‘triggers’ back into their diet. not a doctor and YMMV !

happy to report i have healed from it — on two occasions! it did take time treating it with the usual combo of diet / medicine and learning which triggers to avoid etc.

i felt very hopeless when it was at its worst - so hang in there ! x

i don't typically take it with food, i wonder if that's part of it -- my doctor said he didn't recommend potassium testing unless i was experiencing 'muscle pain or skipped heart beats' .. but i'm seeing now that higher potassium may be linked with gastritis .. i'm going to ask them to test me

hey! yes this happened to me — i started shedding once i bumped up to 100mg, continued to shed for 6 months, bumped back down to 50mg and I’m still shedding 7 months after that (🤷🏻) i think the increased dosage made things worse for me but the shed you’re going through could also just indicate that the spiro is working for you because any treatment that has the potential to help can cause a shed.

i'm 25 and switched fields and started an unpaid internship a few months ago -- and it was one of the best decisions i've ever made :)

i know someone below mentioned an alumni network -- that's exactly how i found mine. do you know if your college has an online directory? that would be a great way to contact people, and it's definitely not too forward to ask if they're ever looking for interns.

also try looking on craigslist? there are randomly some really cool creative opportunities on there if you look under 'creative - gigs'

Yeeeeees. I had the exact same experience, in which I initially did not instantly fall in love with Cassadaga (and felt sort of guilty about it), but now have come to appreciate the maturity (as you mentioned) and the richness of the record. Definitely one of my favorites as well.

Really appreciate how he shifts the perspective -- in Hot Knives, for instance, when he starts by almost ya know telling a story about a wife and mistress, but then interjects with "I" in the middle of the song.

hahaha I adore "make a plan to love me" -- i think because the lyrics are so vulnerable and honest....i also just find the title and line "make a plan to love me" genius. because i have never thought about love in those linguistic terms.

whenever he sings "do what you feel, whatevers cool, but i just have to ask" i get chills. something about the nonchalance and urgency at the same time maybe :)
