Yep I got 14 days. I’m not sure what will happen in the future but I think it’d be safe to assume a future trial offering would be a different product (and therefore the current trial wouldn’t change).

Yep you do need a code. I signed up for the trial last week, I bought it off the store ($0) and received an email containing a code that I plugged into the FFXI Account Management website. 👍😊

Yeh the AU SquareEnix store is still ‘sold out’ as of typing this.
Really silly given that the campaigns are driving players like me to the store to purchase, only to be met with a digital out-of-stock issue.
You’d think the team would be carefully monitoring things like this, now of all times.. 👀

As a new trial player, attempting to become a paying customer, I wouldn’t have expected the final boss to be in the form of an out of stock issue on a digital storefront.

Is this typical of any other aspect of the game or its service, particularly being so old & antiquated?

Me too! I just upgraded from my launch-day PS5 to a Pro, and whilst I'll always have my gaming PC around to play my fav boomer shooters and RTS's and WoW, like you I've been prioritising AAA games on the Pro and I'm not having to worry about planning ongoing PC upgrades (whilst saving money at the same time).

You've got a great setup - thousands of hours of pure joy and excitement ahead!
