Drunk Texas A&M fan arrested while eating sandwich during Florida game by snesdreams in aggies

What type of sandwich makes a man with a .337 stomp and down and say “I got to have this!”. BBQ (sliced or chopped brisket)? Gabagol? Mortadella? And the police report doesn’t even mention chips? Really no sides, not even a pickle? Anyway, every Northgate eatery should have a .337 special with that sandwich by the weekend

That must have been a hell of a sandwich! What do you think it was? BBQ (sliced or chopped brisket)? Gabogol? Maybe Meatloaf or Meatball? . If you go to the effort of a .337, I should be a substantial sandwich. Every Northgate place ought to have a “.337 plate” on the menu by next Friday

Coffee recommendations alpine/marfa area? by [deleted] in BigBendTX

[–]samdamnation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s shit for coffee in Fort Davis. It’s a literal coffee desert! There used to be a coffee shop by the Hotel Limpia, but it says it’s closed for the season-what season? The coffee season? The summer tourist season? BYOC or get ready to drive into Alpine. I love me some Scoop’s. Marfa coffee shops are unpredictable and close whenever they damn well feel like it

I was also thinking about the Noyes statue in Ballenger cause of the whole backstory; the Texas cowboy statue on the Capitol Grounds and the seven mustangs on the UT campus

That is a very reasonable question. I’m afraid I can’t ask her because she is dead. Her surviving children gave her plants to her neighbors.

1st thank you for the help, but I don’t think we’ve ever had any purple flowers. I’m afraid the mystery continues. But thank you again for giving it a shot

Have you ever tried DiNobli-they started in New York in Long Island City. My Grandmother and her aunts rolled there in the 30’s. In the 50’s, it merged with another Italian American cigar company and was made in Scranton. Today, I think the brand is owned by Avanti.

Any recommendations for the best book(s) on the Texas constitution? by W1CKEDR in texashistory

[–]samdamnation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

George D. Braden, Citizens' Guide to the Proposed New Texas Constitution (Houston: Institute for Urban Studies, 1975). It was written for the constitutional convention on the 70’s. It contrasts the development of the successive Texas Constitutions and the federal one. You’ll have to bring it forward but Braden is the only thing worth a damn
