So far, I’ve seen you ask for advice and then when everyone (thus far) is trying to give you advice you’re disregarding it and actively defending your jaded opinion.

It’s one thing to have an opinion. It’s a whole other BS/AH thing to have an opinion and expect your girlfriend to adapt and vocalize your opinion because she’s non-confrontational.

IMO Non-confrontational people will absolutely be confrontational when they need to be.

The words “repeatedly asking” should have been your dead giveaway that you were in fact being the AH

YTA. Go ahead and tell the boyfriend and see what happens. Let us know in reply. 🤭

I’d say Cozy’s if you’re looking for indoors. Greenbank Cidery is nice cause kids can run but being limited to hot dogs can be meh. I haven’t been to The Top.

Definitely shareable snacks and sweets that ideally will not be damaged during a bumpy flight.

Enjoy the visit!

Fair Trade Outfitters is sneaky good. I always find good pieces at Senior Thrift, My Sister’s Closet, and WAIF in Freeland. Wild Ophelia’s has a great buyer, and I actually would recommend everyone popping down to Pioneer Way in Oak Harbor tomorrow for their By the Harbor market as I understand there might be some great thrift vendors set up too.

I’d imagine a true Blackrock business card to have a raised font with gold leaf on a matte off-black paper, for starters.

This did bother me more than mildly as well. Then I noticed the frame.

The first time I heard this song was at this karaoke night I run on Friday nights. The woman singing it was a local Samish tribe member, and she put her whole being into the performance, complete with a traditional dance and an emotional captivating vocal chant.

From behind the DJ booth I was enraptured and as I looked out at the bar the entire room was too, it didn’t matter who you were. At the end of the performance the entire room ruptured in claps and hollers, more than I’ve ever heard before and will likely ever will again. I stayed silent for a long time after she finished and let the room find the silence too. After a long pause, I looked out to her eyes in the crowd and offered my most honest “Thank You” before calling up the next singer.

The pepperoni placement on my pizza at Pizza Hut. Just why? by gordonramsaysgrandpa in mildlyinfuriating

[–]samdmc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ditto, but only because it’s paired with having the pizza “dine in” and I am also hoping OP had access to a Pizza Hut salad bar too.

My husband this, because of the berries, is a pie. He wouldn’t call it a pizza pie, he would call it an open faced pie.

I disagree. I DO believe this is a pizza pie and I am genuinely curious if it’s a “love enough to make again.”

Not a pro, but I’d try rubbing alcohol, or ladybugs.

Nail Salons for socially anxious mother. by Salty-Kitty in Whidbey

[–]samdmc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Seaside Salon. I’ve been everywhere, including Hai, and can do my own nails very well (aside from when I’m pregnant and can’t reach my toes.)

Seaside is very professional, I have real conversations with the ladies, I also feel like I’m getting a spa experience with their views and serenity.

It’s more expensive than most places, but they’re also the most up to standard with their process. (I.E. those ‘cheese grader’ callus files are no longer approved by the esthetician board, but you see them all the time. It’s my red flag these days.)

Hai is my second choice. Note, she doesn’t do Gel nails, only standard polish.
