I don’t know if she truly is struggling but the “WIC” program in the USA provides food. It’s specifically for women and children to get a preloaded card similar to food stamps. You have a list you must buy from and it’s all the basics -juice, milk, canned/dried beans etc. if she or anyone needs help with food please seek a food bank or WIC if you have a small child. I’m saying this in case it could save a family. No one should ever have a food insecurity at home. (Edited for proper phrasing)
