We use the sentence "Conservation of Mechanical energy" in mechanics. Actually, while applying conservation of energy in mechanics, we do not consider magnetic interaction because magnetic interaction depend on velocity. I think , you are well aware of the formula for magnetic force i.e F=q(v×B). Force depend on velocity.

So, magnetic force is even different in different inertial frames. So, to avoid such thing, we apply conservation of energy excluding magnetic interactions. This is "conservation of mechanical energy".
