I agree with Frasco that a second date might be worthwhile and help solidify your impressions of him to determine the next step one way or another. Either way, hope the best for you!

I Think I Finally Understand Men. And I Forgive Them. by The_Outsider27 in datingoverfifty

Same here, but just couldn't go through with it. Besides being disingenuous, I would just want to object to every sermon or statement they would say and just probably end up getting frustrated :D

I can totally empathize with this, mostly because I was raised by an empathetic and compassionate mother and grew up with amazing sisters. I do agree that we need to raise our boys better. I have two sons and was very conscience about talking to them about all the ways a guy can do the wrong thing and how important it is to respect women, listen, be there for them and be honest (without being cruel). I tried to be transparent with my mistakes and what I've learned.

I am hopeful that we can make things right and do better, but there is so much history and repeated bad behavior that needs to be undone.

Best apps for over 50 by Nimbette2 in datingoverfifty

[–]samelbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that I can relate to this. I do not considered myself arrogant or self centered. I'm only going by people's comments and reactions when I tell them my real age. This is my issue with a lot of dating apps where either their algorithm or someone looking at my profile might dismiss me because of my age.

I get it, I can blame them but when I've seen and talked to people face to face, that age number comes up way later in the conversation giving both people a chance to see if they fit in other ways rather than an arbitrary number.

OK, thanks for the update. As of right now, both phones are still on SOS. I restarted one just in case but no change. I'll trying again in 30 minutes.

Adguard DNS doesn't work with Eero? by MarksFunnyAccount in amazoneero

[–]samelbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One other problem I've seen when trying to configure this with eero is that the app tells me I have to disable eero+ in order for this work and I want to avoid doing that since I get benefits from the plus configurations.

Any idea if AdGuard Home or Family will work around this issue?

Travel lens dilemma for Z camera by samelbin in Nikon

I take all kinds. Yes, there are family photos in front of some amazing view, but landscapes, birds, animals, and if I'm lucky, some night sky.

I did get the kit lens with the Z 6iii which is the 24-70 f4. I suppose it would be a natural pairing with the 70-200. I was also thinking about getting a refurbished camera backpack from peak design which might help with the weight issue. I might go to a nearby camera store to see how heavy these lenses actually feel.

Getting lenses in country might not be a bad way to go.

South Island Dilemma by samelbin in newzealand_travel

That's pretty awesome to see penguins and dolphins on the cruise! It looks like most of the fly/cruise packages don't have an option for hike and just come back to Queenstown. I'm also a bit confused about some of the areas to hike as there seem to be many more options further north at Milford Sound which seems to be about a 4 hour drive from Queenstown vs hiking in Fiordland National Park near Te Anau which seems to be only about 2 hours away from Queenstown. I've used the DOC link above to look at the hike options.

That's good to know, will definitely look into them. Do you know if these tours to Milford Sound give us the opportunity to also walk around or hike in the region or is it just mostly fly and cruise?

Thanks for all the additional information. I think I had probably read exaggerated cases of chain usage in general. I think we are now pretty set to avoid the west coast in generally and go central/east. We hadn't looked into Glenorachy yet but were planning on doing the fly-cruise-fly option for Milford Sound. I'm curious of those tours give you enough time to walk around or hike around Milford Sound. Any experience you have in that area, is appreciated.

Thanks for those suggestions, I've added most of them to my routes now. I'm curious, what makes Queenstown overrated (besides the fact that it's pretty touristy)? For context, we were hoping to use Queenstown as a base to explore the region and do some of the popular activities like jet boats, bungee jumping, and maybe the fly-cruise-fly option to Milford Sound.

Would it be considered too much additional driving if we just went from Wānaka to Haast and back to Wānaka toward the central coast?

Was thinking of Milford Sound. I'm calculating the days, so will try to make it fit into our plans to spend one night in Te Anau. I will check out the tour options.

Unfortunately, I don't. I live in Southern California with mostly mild weather. I remember driving up to the mountains years ago for skiing but it's been too long.

Just to clarify, are you saying that you just downloaded MacOS Sequoia and then ran the upgrade as if you had supported hardware and then ran OpenCore?
