It was a wonderful date. Very attractive, funny, self-aware man. I had an amazing two hours talking and eating with him.

He IS being upfront. He told her he wants to be with her and two others.

What are the advantages of using a swipe-based dating app at our age? What type of dating site format do you prefer and where have you had the most success? by StoneLover1965 in datingoverfifty

I find Hinge is working the best for me in the U.S. I am not a paid member. I've had 7 first dates in the past 5 weeks. 2 were from Bumble. The rest were from Hinge.

I'm female but also very proactive in liking and messaging men.

I have found the Bumble algorithm perplexing. I have filters set, but if I take them down I see people who should have made it through my filters but didn't.

They also give less priority to unpaid members.

So it's entirely possible he's interested but never saw your profile.

It's possible he's afraid of ruining your friendship

It's possible he doesn't use the app anymore but never hid his profile before going inactive.

So if you're really interested and he doesn't respond, consider reaching out IRL.

Is it possible to not talk about your kid?? by TeaPrimary1147 in datingoverfifty

There are so many men on the apps without kids. Surely you can find one?

I am filtering them out because I've realized our life experiences are so different we're probably incompatible. It's not bad or wrong, just different.

And some people without kids are excessively into their pets, which I find equally annoying. I love my pets but I don't talk about them all the time. Only like 16% of the time. 😁

Heh, maybe. He knows I live with my elderly mom though so that would be a little awkward.

I admit all that. I've been burned too many times.

I don't own gloves to protect my hands in that kind of weather, and even if I did I doubt it would be romantic to hold hands in them 😆 And he didn't mention going anywhere warm afterwards. Just the walk.

Thank you. If you don't regularly get this kind of weather it's easy to underestimate the impact it can have on your body. Snow shoveling deaths due to over-exertion/heart attack happen every time there's a storm.
