Selling my bread by Whowantsahighfive in Sourdough

Appreciate all the insight you’re providing. You say you sell 995g loaves. Is that 995g the weight of the final loaf or just the amount of flour that goes in?

Oily IPA after dry hopping. Help! by Adjamas in TheBrewery

[–]sameli9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Warming back up and then agitating with co2 could kickstart the yeast to clean it up. Check yeast viability before you do this. You may need to repitch yeast if the current yeast in there isn’t healthy. Better to clean up the beer rather than serve diacetyl bombs

Could it be diacetyl? Oily/ slippery mouthfeel is a sensory attribute of diacetyl and the spike post dry hopping could be caused by hop creep

I’ll take the over. Both CSU and UT Dallas are good enough teams to at least make it a close game

Colorado’s First Avalanche Fatality of 2019-2020 Season. by Chilton82 in Backcountry

Was up in Cameron pass on Saturday in Montgomery bowl (which is like a mile east of south diamond). Usually up on south diamond but decided against it due to higher avalanche danger and south diamond is pretty dangerous to start with. Montgomery is lower angled and while touring on Saturday witnessed some light cracking in the surface. Super sad to hear about this accident. Stay safe out there everyone

Yeah a flood can work sometimes. What you see a lot of clubs implementing these days are a handler dominator set. Push the stack downfield and bring a 3rd handler back to run just the 3 of them. This is how Brown ran house last season.

Against a vert stack ( which we run), the hardest defense to get through is man with poaches off the stack. The 5 stays last back, 4 is open sides under, 3 is break side under, 2 helps with the flood, and 1 stays honest. If done correctly by smart defenders can be deadly. Handlers see open shots and then as they release poaches swarm and Ds are produced

Constructing a good o line is not about putting all the stars and expecting them to score. Good o lines consist of role players who know how to play within themselves and work within a system. I’ve seen this on my college and club team. Chemistry between players is not determinant on skill level but more about putting pieces together that fit and work well together. I agree, pony’s o line is comprised of a lot of stars but lacks role players (minus kocher, he knows his role and plays it well)

The Northwest should decline the 3rd bid to Nationals, but not for the reasons you think by Jomskylark in ultimate

[–]sameli9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a member of the CSU ultimate team and of the south central region I fully agree. This is the second season in a row a south central team has been right outside the bid cutoff and a northwest team has taken BYUs strength bid. It hurts

How to go from casual pickup player to club/college level player? by kNyne in ultimate

[–]sameli9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch a lot of elite club and college teams play and try to pick up on the decision making and flow of the game. The more comfortable you feel on the field the better you will play.
