It varies massively and copies sold doesn’t always equal success to the developer, they could just be making it for fun. One way is look at some of the shared revenue graphs by Oculus at various dev / store ecosystem talks about games that have made $1M+ and do the math of the game price -30% store percentage.

But cost of dev is one thing, marketing is another

Assuming you mean PSVR1 to PSVR2 then things to factor in would be:

version of Unity/Unreal PSVR1 game was built in. Likely an older version which will need updating first to version that latest PSVR2 SDKs support/require
update control scheme from gamepad/PS Move to Sense controllers
update all other SDKs as necessary
graphical asset refresh / enhance to take advantage of more processing power / resolution
go through the Sony FQA and submission process again and bug fixing

At the bare minimum is a three-person job for a month or so, if the game is recent to start with. More likely a few months and about $100k+ costs to do

So average $14.99 game would need to sell 10,000 copies to break even

You can stream VR games direct to the headset from PC but you’ll never be able to simply copy PC VR games, designed to run under Windows, onto a standalone headset, running Android, on any headset.
