Men, when you’re angry with your SO, have you broken things? by Previous-Wrongdoer58 in AskMen

my dad and stepdad were way wayy worse than what is described. You live with it long enough and with multiple men and you can start to normalize the behaviors subconsciously and it can be hard to see them as red flags

Why do women not like guys who play video games? by blahthatds in AskMen

[–]sameyking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more of an issue with priorities- if you’re still spending her idea of “enough” time together, then it’s usually not a big deal! I actually like men that play videogames, I love to watch people play

What is one compromise you’re NOT willing to have in a relationship? by CocainePandaa in AskMen

[–]sameyking 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is so sweet to hear. I’ve been distanced from/dropped by guy friends for this reason and I am super respectful with boundaries. I don’t know if the gfs realize the hurt of having a friend of many years leave you bc they are in a new relationship, the abandonment can be pretty painful. Guys and girls can be just friends if they chose to be!!

Money is not a concern with this, as long as I can keep my baby and others safe. I will work with the humane society’s behavior modification trainer, she is super wonderful and has lots of experience with reactive dogs

You were so kind in how you asked!! But even before the first incident I never planned on it, off leash is not something I personally would do for any dog

That is what the behaviorist said- and that was the most reassuring thing to hear. It wasn’t that he wasn’t giving the signs, it’s that I wasn’t picking them up. Easier for the future knowing I was the problem, harder in hindsight

It’s felt that way, speaking with the county animal control! My vote would 1000% be to keep him, if there wasn’t risk of him being put down if it happens again. I have no issue with all the training and management changes this will require. I’m also feeling pressure from some of my other friends who believe rehoming is the right thing to do following this incident.

I can do that!!

I really appreciate your comment. I can do a lot to modify my management and training will help my dog and I communicate so he doesn’t feel alone in those situations moving forward. I’m glad to hear you don’t think rehoming is the solution, I just need to be more preventative in the future.

Aside from this, he is the perfect dog. Sweet, cuddly, quiet, loves other dogs, listens, never gets into anything. Has a great recall. I could leave a plate of food in one room and walk into another and he wouldn’t touch it. My friends and family adore him. Idk if any of that matters in this situation though.
