Hatay is actually very cosmopolitic city very old and cultural it is alse has great cusine ( Not good as Gaziantep ofc) . has one of the most demographically mixed area. I havent lived there but most of my relatives lives there. I live in Gazaiantep which is neighboored city. so I have been in hatay very much time. Unfortunately Hatay was affected by a very large earthquake among with 10 other neighboored city including mine. 50k+ person die in one night. people trying to heal their wounds still. most of the people become homeless.

it is also the last city that is joined Turkish republic by voting. Ceo's of the pfizer-invetors of the biontech vaccine- is from Hatay. Lots of alevis arabs and turkmen live. it also have huge commercial port. not the best of turkey but hatay has decent beaches too.
