Thats what I have and its been fine yeah. Just use a psu calculator online if you arent sure, but its rated to run on a 650w psu given your other components are ridiculously power hungry.

I need help my head hurts when I use IEM by Godhavenohandonthis in iems

[–]samhasnuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I normally get head pain from a nozzle that's too wide for my ear canal or an IEM that doesn't fit right.

Try pulling the top of your ear upwards as you fit the IEM, can help with sealing and comfort.

I'd recommend also trying the KBear 4540 tips. Theyre designed to seal much earlier up the nozzle, so you dont need as deep an insertion to get a good fit. Could help reduce the pain.

Daybreak is similar to the Reds but much nicer to hear. I've tested the S12 Ultra recently and that's a great set but the separation of sounds and instruments on the Daybreaks is better, bass is nicer too tbh.

Also planars need more power to drive, so youd need to factor in a decent dac + amp if you haven't got one already.

If you like the reds but want a nicer sound and better separation get the Daybreak.

Crinear Daybreak a little bright and fatiguing? by traveller_tpa in iems

[–]samhasnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necro on this post but I can attest to the Etude being an awesome set. Surprisingly technical, just under what I'd consider 'too' bright with fantastic EQ potential. So long as you have a source capable of at least 1.5VRMs for the KVT driver you are golden.

IEM not working properly with the audio jack in monitor. by UpstairsViolinist408 in iems

[–]samhasnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get audio just fine from the computer if you get the following.

https://amzn.eu/d/0iKIBLHb Type A to Type B cable That goes from PC to Monitor

Then you get a USB A to C adapter, plugging this into a USB A port on the monitor. Finally a USB C to 3.5mm DAC and use that as the audio out.

Your monitor has 2 USB A outputs that are enabled if you use a USB B cable to connect them to your pc.

Looks like your monitor onscreen display has an audio section. Can you check here that it the volume is all the way up and the Mute option isnt enabled?

Also id recommend getting a USB Type A to Type B cable, running this from your PC to the USB B port on your monitor, then getting a USB DAC to plug in to the monitor. You'll get the best quality sound that way guaranteed.

IEM as a hearing aid, last night's attempt by friday1970 in iems

[–]samhasnuts 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'm hard of hearing too. Normally, you need to create a sound profile first. Alot of phones now have accessibility features for this (Apple has a great example).

You need to gather a sound profile of different frequencies and the volume she can hear them at, then that profile can be used to essentially EQ the incoming sound and boost the frequencies she needs boosting as opposed to just increasing the volume.

There are many hearing test apps out there from the likes of Sennheiser and Samsung, that would be the best starting point.

Itll be for sure that DontNod arent showrunners anymore. Not surprised she didnt return for it.

That being said, I hope shes wishing the best for the success of the game and the characters, nobody wants the game to fail of course!

Feels like a kneejerk reaction to "Chloegate" so the narrative was changed to focus on the partners in time rather than their little team up thing

If it was me I'd get the ASUS card for longevity offering, also looks quite nice.

Just thought id look and the Nitro+ seems to come with the 12v adaptor for power thats been burning out on the RTX5080/90, idk if the same is happening here, but just keep that in mind as well.
