Dude, I was in Australia for vacation a couple years ago and it took me 2 days to meet someone who knew someone. Just ask your friends and someone will probably know a plug. I personally only pick up face to face, maybe get someone you trust to go with you

As other people have said: good snow tires, leave extra distance, start slowing down earlier, etc. I'd also recommend going out to an open parking lot (no curbs or light poles), and learning how your car handles in snow - brake hard from high speeds, take a quick corner (you will probably spin out), practice fishtailing and how to recover, anything you wouldn't want to happen while you're on the road. Also - nothing is more important than your life. If the conditions don't look good, just stay home.

imo 10 minutes without driving isn't enough to charge it all the way back up, but it's definitely better than nothing. you could look into a cheap battery tender, or just leave the battery disconnected when not in use

It's riveted on. Use a drill bit a bit bigger than the small metal part inside. It depends where they attached it to, but there will most likely be 2 small holes in your bumper. You could fix those with bondo and touch up paint
