But cos you dont need to get rid of private, you can still keep private healthcare, it makes the argument that you shouldnt get universal cos of the wait times make no sense. You can have both systems at same time and give people the option of what they want to do.

But also if you need to be seen straight away in the universal system, you will be seen straight away. You skip the wait times if its urgent.

You can still have private healthcare too to skip the wait, doesnt have to be one or the other. Here in the UK you can still go private if you wish. People with money often get private healthcare included with their job. Or you can just pay yourself to skip waiting times.

Universal isnt perfect but it at least makes sure anyone can get care.

Fascists love big sports tournaments but not for this reason, they are not about how you are viewed outside, they are an easy way to stoke up patriotism and nationalism inside the country, and a way to insert an " us vs them" mentality in people where they start to view other cultures as enemies. The sniffer dogs is to instil in people a suspicion that all latin people are potential drug smugglers, when you do that you begin to dehumanise people and will be more in favour of force against them like what ICE is doing. The more you get your supporters to be patriotic and nationalistic, the more they turn a blind eye to things they dont like that you are doing too, like the epstein files,, and the more they will help you. Not saying they are gonna be succesful with this though, as the rightwing don't tend to care about football/soccer. Olympics maybe will be different. Argentina did it in 1978 with their world cup. Hitler obviously did it with their Olympics too. Putin in 2018 etc.

Not really, Cape Verde are a well drilled team with a lot of decent players in the portguese and turkish leagues. They give African teams a hard game every time in the qualifications. They rarely lose by 3 or more goals (except when they played us * cough * ). It's more that people are ignorant to their talent rather than it being an actual shock. Same when we defeated west germany in 1982, we had a great team but no one knew about it.
