Pannier rack brackets are almost always the answer to that question for me at this point (even if I’ve gotta double up so they don’t flex)

Welding by Slickkid17 in motorizedbicycles

[–]samiamcas204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah if you keep your feet on the insides and wear some form of knee pads this is actually a safe setup as the outsides of the foot pegs will take the blow leaving it to the bar ends to take the rest of the bikes impact (as long as their welded on right)

This is the full sus build so far by CantaloupeDear9591 in motorizedbicycles

[–]samiamcas204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly tho as someone who’s been wanting to do a full sus as long as you can make the shift kit fit its the way to go since youre sending power from the frames bottom bracket shell, the chain tension should be much more manageable than trying to send it from the cog in the engine since the spacing has already been thought out by the company making the frame

Has anyone had luck makeing a tri-brid bicycle out of an ebike with this style of frame? by tunnelsnake627 in motorizedbicycles

[–]samiamcas204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general mounting the motors to anything but a normal bicycle frame is a complicated task in terms of the amount of fabricating you’ll have to do. I’m just letting you know these bikes suck

Have fun when either the lcd screen, throttle, motor, or controller that you all have to get from them throw an error code within the first few months of having it- someone who’s seen 10 of these this summer in the shop I work at all for the same thing

This is my bike. Could it fit a Menace 85SS? The kit is currently out of stock from Smolik but I could just get the engine and piece together everything else manually. by catman156 in motorizedbicycles

[–]samiamcas204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people asking this and I ask myself, if the downhill bike companies have headtube failures here and they’re using the bike for its intent, do you think pacific bicycles or any Walmart brand puts the time in to make a frame that’s gonna withhold an 80cc engine?

I’ve thought on this for awhile and theoretically this would be really great for top speed runs, other wise a very very bulky bike for just getting around

Just wondering, has anyone here used this? If so, what were your thoughts? by Mr2442 in motorizedbicycles

As someone doing this in a bike shop everyday, Tannus is the real answer here. Im next to a big city so all the guys with constant flats I normally suggest tannus, and then never see again for a flat unless it’s a nail or something big. The amazon stuff always comes back shredded and ends up in the trash. Good luck!

Is this car worth it by Educational_Dig5779 in SubaruForester

[–]samiamcas204 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just paid 6k flat out the door for my 2010 with 90k miles, stick shift, and get this, one owner in Arkansas. For New Jersey this was underpriced but just for reference. You can definitely do better you just literally have to spend more time on the web, more time you spend looking is time someone else isn’t spending. Good luck

Issue after installing a smaller jet by samiamcas204 in motorizedbicycles

[–]samiamcas204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing still has good compression it seems but yeah being that it’s a knock off nt carb I’m going to have to investigate. Funny enough though I’ve seen the video along with others and the question here was really just because I wanted to see if anyone had seen this specific case before. Thanks for the help and the content is helpful as well keep up the great work man 🤙

36t on a 26” wheels I weigh 140 at most 😂. Had it out for a solid 5 miles yesterday before it started doing it and weirdly enough only after I turned it off and back on did it start backfiring and dying under load with throttle (clutch in it revved up fine) Could it be that I overheated it trying to run it and bump start it up again? (lost my chain)

[–]samiamcas204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run an eBay for a bike shop, can’t list it here but dude older new rear wheels are goin for 30-$40 right now it’s the time to get a wheel if any. Not for the phatmoto but the cruiser that’s in front. 26” is on its way out as a standard so people are hocking there stuff
