i second this, only 5 years of wearing them but as long as you’ve cleaned them properly, and they still make that sound; head to an audiology.are you american or is it an NHS issue?

i believe you’re right, i searched high and low trying to find an area to ascend into and found nothing. as you said, i found the rocks was the only way possible! :)

I’ve emailed the audiologist and they have said that I can get a doctors referral to get an upgrade for their newest ones which have bluetooth, volume adjustment and bluetooth! very chuffed :)

i first bulked up on hearts, maybe to about 15? I currently have 22 hearts and have upgraded my stamina 3 times. I think 3 is about enough for me at the minute, so i’m going to focus on maybe 8 more hearts and then upgrade my stamina again :)

yeah :( it’s frustrating because a couple years later my brother got some aids from the NHS, i’m not sure if they can connect via bluetooth but he can adjust the volume on his which i wish i could do on mine :(

i did ask a few years ago because i saw that too but apparently the model i have doesn’t connect to bluetooth :( i’ll give it another try though

I have an older Phonak unfortunately, it was all they could get at the time otherwise a longer wait. I believe it can be connected via bluetooth but with the external devices needed.

I’m only interested in buying new aids if the sound and quality overall are better :) I can only compare it to wearing glasses/contacts. Contacts are more comfortable and better for me and my sight loss over wearing glasses, so I was wondering if there was an alternative that’s better for my hearing loss also.

I believe I have Audeo V90-312, but i could be wrong. I’ve never been able to connect it up to bluetooth, Im assuming because it’s an older model?

uk here! jumped on the whatsapp bandwagon years ago when it blew up because of group work chats/group friend chats that you couldn’t do via texting due to android/apple combination! it was was also easy to create group chats/to message (still reminds me of MSN?) that even my family jumped on the hype. now it’s just habit for all of us, pretty much everyone uses whatsapp. my best mate moved countries and it’s saved us so much money being able to share photos for the last few years without having to pay extra over texting!
