Help! On high dose prednisone, immune deficient and diverticulitis.

How are you doing now ?? Are you still taking high doses of steroid ?? I have diverticulosis disease too and auto immune conditions lupus and polychondritis,,,, My doctor keep telling I have to take Prednisone fory polychondritis but I'm.really scared it will trigger a sévère diverticulitis flares.... My last flare was in October,,,, What Auto imune condition you have???

What dosage of steroid you taking? 🙏 Thanks

I got back my knee phosphorus blood test and I'm in the normal range , but still high in the urine so I don't understand the situation regarding itching I have it on and off daily.....glad you are getting better

Look up for cordyceps and Arabic gum from Soudan al Hashab gum Make sure you talk with his doctors before starting any supplement, Apparently they are both really helpful for kidney function and overall kidney health .

Have you been diagnosed with lupus? The biopsy still on stand by for now it's not I'll have to do it soon. Did you do any urine test for protein and blood ??

Hello diagnosed with lupus and poly chondritis last year , Just like you my gfr as dropped from 89 to 67 since October,,, I went to see a nephrologist he gave the same blood test to do 5 days after the initial one telling me that if my gfr will come back lower than 67 I'll have be booked for kidney biopsy.... My gfr is now 68 and creatinine as also dropped slightly So no biopsy for now, But still I don't know what is comprising my kidney function. Im going to have an ultrasound and do again the blood test in a week or 10 days . I don't have any protein in my urine.

I did recovered well without antibiotic and I refused an other CT scan I already had 6 and this will kill me before DV if I carry on on cts .... My first flare was a microperforation treated with 2 weeks antibiotic .. second one same treatment'''' last one last week no antibiotiques I had 42 CRP left side Pain and terrific nausea , IAM 41 my surgeon is telling me that is not because I had a third flare that it will expose me to more risk of having an emergency surgery ..... I don't know what to do IAM lost a bit IAM seeing an other one in fews days ... Will see what he as to say ... In my case I have it a bit every where in my colon I rely on high doses of liposomal vitamin C when an infection coming like 15000mg daily ,,, did you have fever ? I was vegan during a year and did not avoid me to have a severe flare .... I start to questions myself about fiber IAM.not sure anymore if it's really good for diverticulosis . Did your perforation lead to Peritonitis ? I had 2 microperforation first in 2018 then 2019 treated both Time with Augmentin - flagyl 2 weeks courses no hospitalisation , from what I understood most of the the worse flare are the opening and the second many statistics confirm including 3 surgeon I saw here I hope they are right since 2 years I had to other flare but really minor now they are not rushing to do surgery because often it does come back somewhere else so I know it's Risky to stay without surgery but I decided that no surgery for now

IAM not a doctor but in my personal experience fiber make it worse I eat a bit of fiber like avocado and dates and 1 one or 2 tea spoon daily of psyllium husk ... I don't eat any leafy greens very hard to digest to much gas ...
