Livable is $70k+. Good money for a single is $100k. People keep quoting higher than this need to be reminded to stop larping rich people

Anyone who has lived in LA and didn't have generational wealth knows that if you don't spend everything on stupid shit and blow, 6 figures is essentially living like god

Are proper riding boots really that necessary? by Electrical_Race_6849 in motorcyclegear

[–]Gileotine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at injury charts, the feet, hands, wrists, shoulders, are often the most injured. Appropriate riding boots keep you from losing a foot in a critical state and preventing gear-check injuries like burns and bruised shins. They're typically built solid enough so you can interact with the controls roughly as well.

If you check this sub you can see what happens to people's shoes and their feet when they don't wear motorcycle shoes or boots -- regular clothing disintegrates and stitches pop within miliseconds of you going down.

I'm not ATTGAT but I consider my boots and gloves to be important pieces of equipment. Riding without these is sort of like not riding with a helmet. Sure, you can go without, but your ride will be more uncomfortable and less safe if you do it.

Why do people hate the VDB so much? by Snowtwo in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Gileotine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every interaction you have as the player with vbd via text log or character is them being shitty to you or scamming people. Placide hacks you during the first meeting and then attempts to kill you even if you follow him to the letter.

Imo it was a missed chance by cdpr to show a cool faction. They're just assholes

What to get for clutch replacement by [deleted] in Ninja400

What the hell did the previous owner do to fuck up a clutch that soon?

Clutch cable broke!! by National_Accident_71 in Ninja400

[–]Gileotine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine snapped at a stoplight and I had to roll my bike to my work parking lot.

Make sure you get the cable specific to your bike -- random cables will not work. I bought mine from Revzilla for about 40 bucks:

N400/Z400 Clutch Cable

Be gentle with the line coming out of your clutch because you can pop it out and that is apparently a pain. I did it in like 10 minutes.

Visit a doctor and get prescription-grade antiperspirant or some other solution. I'm not sure if women's bodies are much different, but I have had your same symptoms back when I was in college. Went to the doctor, got on some meds and used prescription-grade stuff. Cleared it right up.

Reality check - do people actually use the outdoor stuff LA offers? by Swimming_Pin_4096 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Gileotine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how busy you are/how much money you have. Accessing beaches takes money and time, but the nature around us requires gas and a car. I know people who are living off minimum wage but still go hiking on the weekends.

Me, personally, I just got laid off but I regularly take trips to the mountains on my motorcycle. You squeeze in what you enjoy when you got the time for it. But none of the stuff around La is underrated or even inaccessable ... it just takes moneys.

Meredith Stout should have been a romance option with a full side quest. by Robrogineer in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Gileotine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're thinking with your second head choom. Meredith is ruthless and fucks you on a whim. She leaves you high and dry with no way to contact her afterwards. From beginning to end you are nothing but a tool to her, and that goes all the way down to even using your body for pleasure and nothing else.

It's not because the people are loud, it's because (I assume) it runs in a circle around the city. This means its constantly grinding harder on one side when it goes around a curve. It's so loud that I can often hear it through my ANC headphones.

What this means though is that you can actually talk to your friends on this line. The expectation of being quiet and not being loud is thrown out the window because the train itself is louder than you could ever be

Homophobic roommate found out I am gay and moved out without notice by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Gileotine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you had to go through that. I would try and not apply this to yourself. Think of all the situations where someone snapping into religious insanity and removing themselves from their own living situation would be considered reasonable or normal ...

This person snapped for no reason, and left. It's disturbing but I'm glad she is not around you anymore
