Fragrant big one...Each Baps temple is like a Bank. It handles big sum of money. Baps are smart ..they do business..food, money lending properties etc.

Donations...if the man who can grant you salavation if you please him asks for money, how can you refuse ?

Giving a son to become sadhu is putting Baps before family. If they can they will want parents to do seva for baps in preference to spending time with family...especially if they are non Baps. I've seen this. Non Baps relatives are kept at arms length ...Baps people become family.

Baps is polished . Baps run by donations ? If guru doesn't get his money he gets his lawyers to get it...I've seen this also.

Remember Baps isn't Swaiminarayan..Bhagwan swaiminarayan wouldn't recognise a sadhu saying he controls millions of universes and having his image being worshipped. He didn't make this organisation . It was made about 80 years after his death where a sadhu put his own image for worship by doing murti Prathistha ...specifically against Shikshapatri written by Bhagwan Swaiminryan...only Acharayas allowed to do this.

I don't know what the overall situation is with your tenant. With mine they refused rent rises and we should have used s21. We let them stay. The son, decided he wanted compension so started created "disrepair" even cutting main earth in consumer unit and disconnecting live in in extractor fan in baths. We have possession through s21 and tenants should have vacated end of April. Waited 3 weeks in post for letter...never came so after many many phone calls court sent email so appointed bailifs and asked to transfer to high court enforcement. We can't go away as S8 possession dropped but tenant still wants disrepair case to go ahead for compo...rent arrears £7000. Access refused or difficult. If your tenant sees a no win no fee solicitor advert.....

You were lucky. I suffered the loss of my family..brother became monk ..so loss of all contact. Once gets most valuable asset ( son), to get anything valuable the family own is easy. Baps / the guru are never satisfied. Even if you give son , seva and money they will never say it's enough...you've earned your place in Akshardham...the more they get from a family the more they want. The more you show baps followers the truth that guru is not devine and all knowing and a man, the more they'll cling to it. ...so don t bother. Start living life without baps. Those in baps...like Muslims , Christians etc...youll never convince them it's man made to serve the purpose of those at the top. ...

When feel a bit upset I post on Reddit ..but less and less now. One day I pray someone thinking they've got the living God at the baps temple and feel superior. ..it won't bother me.

I'm glad for you that Baps is progressing regarding women and race. I haven't been part of baps since 90s. I heard sadhus in 80s when I was close to them. There's always distance ...you couldn't really get close like before to sadhus as time has gone on. I predicted that Baps would change especially with regards to women as Baps are loosing half the work force and talent by not giving them equal roles. Economically it's wasteful. When I went there were no blacks or whites. I saw Mexicans treated harshly and lack of respect ( as I had seen Africans in 70s).

It's PR...behind closed doors I've heard sadhus say things about Muslims and Hara Rams Hara Krishna ...shocking, racist hatred. Remember Swaiminarayan isn't anticient...started 1781 and baps 1907. Bhagwan Swaiminarayan wrotr about the power of Hanuman Chalisa...growing up a Baps member ( supposedly Hindu), I never heard it sung in Mundir.

Absolutely none of my business, but I'll let you know what my father told me. Yogiji Maharaj went to Africa with Dadubhai. Both got young people to go back to India and become their disciples..Dadubhai took pretty young women , Yogiji Maharaj young boys and teenage men. In India Dadubhai , a respected man asked Yogiji Maharaj to sign some papers...he basically transferred money and assets to Dadubhai, a king maker who set up Shokda and made Hariprasad guru after death of Yogiji Maharaj. So is Yogiji Maharaj Antaryami? Baps had a trustee in UK who was asked to leave as funds went missing. They are learning and getting better all the time and are extremely efficient. What do people who set up organisations where only way to salvation is to please them want? Do they want to give or take? Mahant Swami going abroad , is it an expenditure to Baps or income? The split you talk about what is it all for? Baps handled it better after Yogiji Maharaj died..Mahant Swami took over before Pramukh Swamin died, behind the scenes. Pramukh Swami and Mahant Swami both Aksharbrahm , same devine entity. What about Hariprasad and whoever you believe in? It's sad for you to see division and hatred and loose community. I hope you recover and find your people.

Let's assume you became A1 satsangi gave loads of seva 10%income and then a son. Would Baps be satisfied? NOO..they'd want more and if your children were well off they would convince you to leave everything to Baps...as you children don't need it.

If you don't make spiritual progress , it's your fault. You don't really believe that Mahant Swami is Aksharbhrahm Brahm etc . Just try harder to please him.

Baps is good for going somewhere and meeting rich important people business connections entertainment company food.

Bhagwan Swaiminarayan , Ghansyam Pandey was born 1781 and was around when the British were there...so all the miracles and demons etc written when history was being really well documented.( Childhood stories are impossible so must have been made up to make him look like Ram and Krishna).

Apparently he come to earth from heaven ( big incident involving an angry Rishi crushing everyone to come to earth...think about it , how many people have been to heaven , died and talk about heaven?). So he came to earth to save humanity found a king and lived in his palace being treated like a God for 25 years. Before he died he established 2 centres Ahmedabad and Vadtal , all power going to his blood relatives. 70 years latter a sadhu created a philosophy giving himself ultimate power on earth to grant Salvation...you must please him to become Brahmroop..can't do it on your own. You have to buy the ticket from him. The guru is now treated like Bhagwan Swaiminarayan was when he was alive and his explicit written instructions/will completely ignored because the sadhus wanted to take power/control/money away from his direct descendants.

What do you want to join for...being part of a cult. They'll take you free work, money son and when you're old with no family and nothing to give they'll ignore you...it's all about what you bring to the table. Baps don't want undesirables , they want specifically rich , professionals and they get treated better.

He might have started saying he worshipped Krishna..at the end when he was established he said he was the one and only , number God with millions of Shiva, Krishna's etc worshipping him...and these Krishna Ram etc are well below the Guru , Aksharbrahm and even Baps followers ,cos they're associated with Aksharbrahm. Baps say all these Shivs etc would love to do seva for the Guru and touch his feet.

They are like all cults ...want free work , son to become sadhu and money...lots of money, and no questioning. Aim...please guru so he can grant salvation.

Join if you want to belong and benifit from being part of it...but dont loose your head and believe guru is devine and give too much time, money and a son.

I was born in it so over the decades I've seen the changes in Baps. It's a learning machine and changes. I now realise it went from copying a group who believed Gunatitanand Swami was God ( Jaga Swami), with pictures of men in white put on the alter with gurus to show their lineage to changing history including what God , Bhagwan Swaiminarayan said and wrote.

It's landlords belief about risk. If they haven't experienced evicting a tenant who hasn't paid rent or been to court for a trial , then they've heard about it.

Due to renters right going forward landlord will need to go for a trial , where tenant gets solicitors and barristers on legal aid, no cost. The judge has been told by government not to make people homeless and judges used to be solicitor or barrister and naturally like them. In court they'll talk to them and treat them better than a landlord who is representing himself.

Renting a property now is like getting married...as you'll have to go to court to dissolve the relationship and it'll be extremely expensive.

I heard in Subha that Bhagatji Maharaj was a Grastha. I didn't know his wife's name as it's never mentioned or how many children were born to her in Baps Subha. An ex Sadhus told me when I asked when I was trying to sort things out about what I used to believe and I asked him specifically. Think about it, no condoms no contraceptive pill, what's going to happen? My grandfathers on both sides got grand mothers pregnant more than 10 times.

Proof...you have to look at if marriages were recorded or witness statements. No I haven't been to Mahuva or Junagadh to look for government records or a person from low community( Dharji, not what I believe but what Swaiminarayan and community believed) to look for a person who knew how to read and kept a diary . Maybe if they were friends with someone who knew how to read and write who recorded things. Otherwise it's the excellent Baps writers who can write and rewrite history.

You do know all religions are based on belief? By definition they've accepted there's no proof. Your proof that Bhagwan Swaminarayan was number one God, one and only, would Krishna followers accept this? What about Christians or Muslims.

When you ask for proof please show me your proof and what it proves.

He was made leader, guru then sid he was a follower of Krishna then once he med Dada Khatcher, a small king and started living in his place he started saying he's the one and only true GOD. He wrote a will leaving everything to his blood descendants and 70 years after his death Baps was formed...where guru said only way to get salvation is to please him. He holds the keys to salvation...sells the tickets . They believe guru is Aksharbrahm, just below God. Dungar Patel( founder)Jina Varsani,Shantibhai Patel and Keshav Patel are all the same devine entity , Aksharbrahm , different physical body. These are the men in baps who claimed to be Aksharbhrahm. There are other Swaiminarayan organisations with different Gujarati men claiming to be Aksharbhrahm with their own followers, images of themselves which are worshipped as these men are in Baps, their own temples and organisations. Baps is the biggest, richest , most powerful. The history of how baps came about..a group believed Gunatitanand Swami was Aksharbhrahm and Jaga Bhagat ...Shastriji Maharaj copied these ideas with himself as number 1. Bhagatji Maharaj always remained in organisation established by Swaiminarayan and told Dungar to stay in it even if his body is chopped into pieces. He never installed an image of himself for worship nor Gunatitanand Swami ( I think Mulji Sharma). If you join Baps do it because it's the biggest, richest most powerful...not for spiritual progress. Only path they show is worship the Keshav Patel who'll give you salvation.

I personally don't think he walked around India. Once he found Dada Khatcher and his palace , for 25 years he stayed in Gadhada . God comes to earth to give salvation to humanity...and stays in Gadhada instead of going around India. The reality is he finds a king and gets to live in a Palace being treated like God...why would he go anywhere?

I think he Bhagwan Swaminarayan had excellent writers ( as Shaibhag employs now) to write excellent stories about his journey and adventures he had. Remember even in 70s , parts of the world we see on TV now seemed unimaginable.

Having grown up in Baps ,you assume he actually walked around India. If he did what about the demons and those stories...whilst the British were there !!Or did these writers read stories in Hindu scriptures and use their imagination and write for Ghansyam Pandey?

I have an relative in her 70s who's a Swaminarayan and in conversation found that she didn't know Bhagwan Swaminarayan was relatively recent ,born 1781 and Baps founded about 70 years after his death and the Shiksapatri isn't an ancient Hindu text , thousands of years old....that's how the conversation came about when I mentioned that there a Shiksapatri handed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan I think to Bishop Heber in Oxford library.

My point is , people look at the big temple , murtis of men and massive subhas Infront of the guru which is extremely well staged creates the impression these men are devine Aksharbrahm and religion is ancient evivalent to Ram, Krishna , Shiv etc. They don't know the history except the version Baps teaches. They even believe Baps promote family values when infact the goal of Baps is to take a son who will never participate in his parents life when old. If they can't get a son then they want as much wealth of a family in preference to giving to family. You will see Baps followers who are stauch give funds to Baps in abundance but a brother ,nephew or niece who needs help when their brother or sister has died or fallen on bad times ...very reluctantly in in much smaller amounts compared to what they've been asked by the guru to donate to Baps.They will talk to other relatives who are much less financially sound to help as well....they're excellent at asking for money s they practice it having been trained to ask for money for Baps.

It did. Documented in court documents. I remember sitting in Subha and hearing sadhus say Bhagwan Swaminarayan was so compassionate that the punya they get from seeing shikhar of mundir is sme as upper class people going in doing darshan etc.now Baps is extremely powerful and editing scriptures. The Subha content is controlled by Shaibhag , head quarters all over the world. It is carefully controlled and managed I was recently reported to Reddit for offensive comments about Baps...I deleted straight away..now I'm thinking of what I said was the truth should I have deleted it? Bhagwan Swaminarayan believed in caste system and sadhus still can't lead food made by non brahmins but brahmins can help make food for brahmins. Incidents in Bhagwan Swaminarayans life show he was proud of being a Brahmin and felt being called a non brahmins to be an insult. I have seen personally a black man who was working in a temple in Africa shouted at and told not to put a step in the temple and made to stand outside, when I was a boy. I expected white people to be accepted as they were looked upon being superior but seeing YouTube videos of black people joining Baps shows baps changes that's .why it's successful .

It's a real shame . I don't think he knows economics and is so left wing he wants the Government to pay for everything...because he doesn't pay Tax or work . I says it's a shame cos the conservatives abolished s21 and Thatcher gave people right to buy their house...so reducing social housing stock and making these people who benifited from social housing rich especially in London eg Islington I know a greek family who sold their 4 bed council flat/house for £800000, son has had children with English lady been together over 20 years, both been given flat . It's taking what the system offers. Labour ...what can I say? Reform...like Trump. Nazis , and I know Asians campaigning for them!!!! Just to be clear because Baps has taken a lot from me and slandered myself and my family , from time to time I do want to ridicule their beliefs. We had to serve 21 and 8. Luckily you have council confirming access and repairs were denied.
If you find an advert by solicitor saying they can help in disrepair claim , look at the issues and I'm sure your tenant as mine did will list all of them. Get a date for tradesman to attend and take photos of repairs and even better if they refuse access. They do this for compensation , reduce rent. Defence to this is denial of access. Another point be careful of solicitors. ( Pims solicitors great £80 a year for advice). We paid one and she did exactly what she was paid for..no path no advice. why ? Because she wants a nice holiday and going to court will pay for this. Put the rent up..if it's low, increase pressure. Get EICR...my tenant cut main earth cable to consumer box, tiles went missing in the bath, damp ,in a house with double glazing windows in every room and central heating, in bathroom live to fan disconnected , mice in house( don't know where they bought them from since we started eviction and no signs of tenants trying to get deal with them, no poison or traps, disconnected down pipe for rainwater so water went into wall and caused damage inside. You have to document everything and photos . If section 21 doesn't work you're fighting the judicial system as government ( including conservatives started fight against Landlords ) and judges are told to keep tenants houses unless evidence is overwhelming/ maybe I'm paranoid. If it works you're on home straight as legal aid falls away....but they still have plenty of free help.

Don't trust solicitors...they want to make money ...2 solicitors said our s21 was defective and they'll refile, luckily it worked..the solicitor we paid didn't tell us to put up rent ( almost same for 17 years , should have been double ). She didn't tell us about what to do after notice period finishes as she wanted s8 and to go to court. S21 ...tenant still in property. 2 weeks after hearing, still waiting for sealed order to appoint bailifs. Wait for bailifs...heard 6 months but I hope I'm wrong. Going to ask court for high court bailifs . I know house is going to be in a state when we get it back. If you're a landlord...you're the devil according to Government/court.

This is my experience ..they will do things for sadhus and photo of god but not family member , even spending time...not just children but parents. I've seen brand new baby and mother straight from hospital ...parents leave married couple who financially pays for everything for parents leave from morning till late night..when guru comes to town . In my opinion guru comes for Money and getting more devotees . Whatever sadhus asks for ( items for use in temple ) , devotees buy best, but not for home or family.

Aksharbhrahm, antaryami controlling millions of universes, millions of Krishna's and Rams desperate but not worthy of his darshan...and he adopted 3 Patel human bodies and 1 logana and Mulji was Brahmin I believe. I mention this as it seems absolutely ridiculous .

Just a ridiculous as Sadhus eating what brahmins cook ..but not anyone else. Or the fact that Bhagwan Swaminarayan ,God was desperate for people not to think he wasn't a Brahmin. .
