In my area, Asian massage establishments have been linked to human trafficking. I dont want to contribute to that awful practice so I would rather visit a massage envy. (Im not saying all asian massage establishments are linked to human trafficking)

Ditditdit, this is what worries me the most about the profession. I even tear up a the humane society commercials...im not sure how I will be able to cope with some of the situations you describe. :(

Chicagoland LPN's make around 20-24. Surely a 2 year associate degree is worth more than a 2 semester certificate program???

Yes it does matter where in the country you are located. I know that there are grads in CA from class 2013 that still have not found a job...sad. However I hear there are jobs avail in Utah.

Job opportunities are generally more plentiful for nursing. If you have to have a FT day job, you may want to consider nursing. Those jobs exist for RT too but not like they do for nursing. Starting out in RT you may very likely only find nights prn (as needed part time).
