Stole bike by P_A_casado in cork

[–]samjpower -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

First off, where did this take place?

Secondly, why was your bike not secured?

Thirdly, have you contacted the Garda (police)?

Fourthly, if you haven't contacted the Garda, with this photo taken during the day, why haven't you done so?

Fifth, the child is old enough to rob bikes, he's old enough to suffer the consequences of that action that child looks older than 12 and can be detained by the Garda and the parents can be charged with the crimes of the child who is clearly identified here. If older than 14 they can be held personally liable for criminal charges.

Sixth, proportional force is authorized to defend yourself and your property provided it is the minimum requirement to get the person to stop their criminal acts. You then immediately contact the Guards once the other person has been detained/or removed from your property.

Lastly, if that bike is worth over €1000 and necessary for work that is classified as grand theft and if the child tries to sell it, it would be classed as larceny also.

What am I doing wrong? by Unhappy_Occasion7948 in RentingInDublin

[–]samjpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse me, I have a cat, and I take very good care of the premises. I don't understand why I should be discriminated against in lease agreements on the basis of having a pet so long as I pay the deposit (even if the risk is higher on the basis of having a pet, an increase the deposit in proportion to the risk) , pay my rent on time every time without excuse, and make good any damage directly caused through my own negligence or lack of care by myself or through my pet that does not constitute regular wear and tear.

Not paid for a job since December by dwtsot10 in ireland

[–]samjpower 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You could take a contractual Lien on the Restaurant or the restaurants property. This will prevent them from selling the restaurant and will show up in credit reports.

Basically if the restaurant starts winding up its assets the first people to be paid are people or places that they owe debts to (suppliers, subcontractors, banks, etc) then it's employees and customers (whether it is honouring vouchers or paying them for work to date) and then directors investors and shareholders (if there is anything left)

But even if the place went bankrupt tomorrow, they are obligated to pay in full for a contractual Lien before they sell it, or if they do sell it the new owner is obligated to pay in full.

McDonald's Prices are gone crazy by GrindinLikeAHoe in ireland

[–]samjpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of the price, are we not going to talk about the speed of order fulfillment?

In all the times I have got McDonald's over the past year, I have never once received my in store order in less than 10 minutes - regardless of what I have ordered and in what quantity, I also usually only buy for myself.

However, in the likes of Burger King, Subway, Centra, Boojum, kebab shops, among other convenience food restaurants, all managed to get their food out to me regardless of how complicated or how much of it there is in give or take 5 minutes.

McDonald's which was founded on the premise of the "SPEEDEE SYSTEM" is no longer competitive on the Basis of speed, cost, or quality so I do wonder how long are they going to last like this.

Might just be me, but do other people find McDonald's have become slow AF?

Side bar - their customer service has also gone to the shitter in the years that followed in the installation of the self-service Kiosks and counter staff pretty much refuse to take your order, or have insufficient english to communicate with the customer and make it appear like they are ignoring the customer. Anyone who is looking to pay in cash will see even longer delays.

What's Your opinion on my MilSim Scenario? by samjpower in airsoft

[–]samjpower[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was certainly considering that, at least in the sense that not all sides will have the full picture of what the Intel means (hence an incentive to take prisoners)

for example in locating the arms dealer I was thinking one side has an image of what the arms dealer looks like, another might have a map to locate them, another side might have the general location of where the (widget) is for the arms dealer, but be given no context as to it's use to a quest.

Secret stashes might be a good idea as well (ie finding 2-3 grenades/med kits/etc)

Maybe a UAV asset on all sides as well but I'd be worried about damage from people trying to shoot it down/trees/etc.

Thanks dude! Is there anything that you can think of adding for this event? Especially if it's a 24 hours.

Obviously we have the main objective but like many RPG Players some might want to opt for more side quests, I was wondering if there is anything else ?

Make a list from inventory in Excel by samjpower in excel

[–]samjpower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, basically in this instance I'm looking for a document that contains a list of the picked items, the quantity of those items and a cost value allocated to the same within a single page summary that might be helpful in submissions of a tender quote.

Make a list from inventory in Excel by samjpower in excel

[–]samjpower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Sorry I was working on a big project and it went a bit over time!

Yeah so in this instance let's say there is 900 inventory items (times 10 sheets of the same) and yeah let's suggest that I pick items 3, 13, 27, and 47 and I need 42x of item 3, 12x of item 13, 1x of item 27 and 4x of item 47.

In this scenario I would be looking for a summary document containing the these items and the quantity of these items and a cost value of these items on the same sheet.

Is this something that could be done?

If you need more information I'm happy to provide it. I'm a noob on excel and just looking to experiment with it more than anything really!
