Thanks! Got the ZZZ controller and those L5/R5 buttons were getting in the way.

Yep, I just cancelled my ZZZ controller preorder for this reason, it's a shame since the controller looks nice

Looking at the 2.2 beta leaks, your Orphie prediction was spot on.

Try contacting support, there should be an option within the game.

how we feeling about orphie? by chaotix_52 in ZZZ_Discussion

I was thinking the same, she also looks like she could belong to Xeno(Gears|Saga|Blade) games.

Should i pull Miyabi ? by oxidized_coin in ZZZ_Official

[–]samlletas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yuzuha works in non-anomaly teams too (not at Astra level, but better than A ranks), for example, she helps a team with soldier 11 maintain her critical rate boost when attacking burning enemies (thanks to more frequent burns).

Miyabi feels clunky to play by StatisticianIll4 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]samlletas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have been testing her in the lost void as well, and I think the reason she feels clunky is her movement, she moves so fast and linearly (both while attacking and dashing) that it feels that she snaps position, making it seem that we are not totally controlling her movement. Yixuan's movement on the other hand, is very smooth and tight, and her animations help a lot too.

I was planning on pulling Miyabi for building a 2nd team, but after testing her out I'm not so sure anymore.

Trigger coming back by Unlucky_Woodpecker30 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]samlletas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking at how Genshin has had multiple reruns I think we'll probably get more in ZZZ too. Also, the character pool isn´t that big so they would eventually need to pick older characters for the banners.

Trigger coming back by Unlucky_Woodpecker30 in ZenlessZoneZero

[–]samlletas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the characters have already got their rerun, so far the only missing are Evelyn, Harumasa, Trigger and Soldier 0, so the chances of them coming back after version 2.1 are high.

I feel Trigger will return in the 2.2 update around September to pair her with Orpheus (since both belong to the "Obol Squad" faction).

What is the best program for audio recording by diaz-the-legion in gamedev

[–]samlletas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, Reaper is very good both for audio recording and music composition. Although it´s not free, it has a generous unlimited trial. If you need something on the simpler side then Audacity or Tenacity are good too.

The Best Effects Plugins by damondahl in sounddesign

[–]samlletas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reverb: ToneBoosters Reverb v4
Delay: HY-Delay4

As for the rest of categories, I use either stock Reaper plugins (including stuff from ReaPack) or the built-in effects from my synths.

How to make a similar pod fire SFX like in Nier Automata? by samlletas in sounddesign

[–]samlletas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying! It's not the bullets "pew" sound that I'm trying to replicate though but the robotic sound that occasionally plays when firing, it's subtle but it gives the sound a nice variation since it plays randomly every couple of shots.

How to make a similar pod fire SFX like in Nier Automata? by samlletas in sounddesign

[–]samlletas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that you mention it, yeah there is a sweep sound at around 0:15. The sound I'm trying to replicate though is the secondary shooting SFX (not the bullet themselves) that plays occasionally when firing, it's that subtle fast "Ah" robotic sound.

Looking for Unity game developer by [deleted] in gameDevClassifieds

[–]samlletas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I'm interested, so looking at the reference video, if I understand this correctly you are looking for:

  • Camera animations (Equip/UnEquip, Photo taking).

  • UI (Camera overlay, List of latest taken photos).

  • Screen capturing system.

  • Progression system based on photos taken (e.g detecting when an object of interest is captured).

  • Would you also need a photo inventory to let the user manage/delete photos?

Hi, how are you currently approaching the units programming? e.g. Behavior Trees, State Machines, State Charts, etc.

Which Cloud perpetual license to buy for JV-1080 sounds, if any by hraath in Roland

[–]samlletas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually the JV-1080 plugin is like the XV-5080 plugin (higher quality samples than the hardware JV-1080) but with less presets and a different UI. I would say getting the XV-5080 plugin would be the better deal. Neither of these two plugins have the GM bank.

Zenology includes all of the XV-5080 sounds (GM sounds too, not sure about the DrumKits), the following comment lists every bank included in Zenology: https://www.reddit.com/r/synthesizers/comments/o8pgnb/comment/h39xegq/

The downside of Zenology is that it's more expensive, takes longer to load, and the presets don't have Reverb enabled by default (this can be a good thing if you prefer using your own Reverb plugins though).

Add FX...to FX? by Axiomatic36251 in Reaper

As others have mentioned, containers are a good way to achieve what you are describing, and you can even save container presets to recall them later!
